The opening is excellent. Definitely brought out some... interesting emotions when you talked about his mother. But your tenses drive me crazy. You use 'Would' like it's the holiest word in the English language. I'd give it five stars for the opening if it wasn't for that.

This novel is built for people who like their s*x with a plot and humor. Or their plot with humor and s*x. Or their humor with a plot and s*x. Or... well, you get the picture.

As an overpowered salaryman myself, I would say this story relates to me perfectly. I can also relate to the monster invasion as my ex-girlfriend frequently stops by my house.

It's back! A very descriptive start to what will 'hopefully' be an astonishing return. Looking forward to the continuation of this novel. It's a must-follow if you're into the genre.

Stuck in a game? Check. Powerful abilities but not too OP? Check. MC isn't handed everything for free? Check. A good start to what will hopefully be a long and amazing journey inside Darkness Ascending.

The twists and turns in the first few chapters alone had me reeling. A non-generic hero who kills the royal family in the first scene? Sign me up. Hoping our hero can stay on the straight and narrow... in all the right ways.
