Kato Dan was a renowned Jonin during the second war, he probably isn’t much weaker than the sannin considering that they aren’t in their prime yet. I’d guess Kato Dan is on a similar level to Asuma or Kakashi (without mangekyo)

Maybe in his prime, idk if he’d win though. Luffy extreme diffed Kizaru after beating Kaido, he may not be stronger than Kaido but he’s certainly on a similar level. Kaido frankly wouldn’t have a chance facing two admirals at once, prime Whitebeard likely isn’t all that much stronger. He could at least fight against two at once, but winning is probably still impossible
