I read probably way too much but my standards are also exacting so if I complained about your book, I stand by my opinion because I also probably gave you a break down on why I didn't like it.

relatable, unfortunately. I'm actually going to start eating Ramen again soon
at the same cost of the skiddo milk at 600 poke for 300ml, that's 40,200 poke daily per miltank... somehow, I think it should be more expensive or at least take a chunk of that in feeding costs, say a quarter or so.
bs, it was not stated he doesn't have foreknowledge. it was stated he couldn't remember how Naruto trained to learn the rasengan. the training was literally three steps and regular practice. I complained about how ridiculous it is not to be able to remember that. I wouldn't have complained if he either just didn't grumble about it, or couldn't yet do it due to Chakra control issues. as far as water and tree walking goes, it took Naruto a week. the boy with the worst Chakra control in the entire show. The leaf sticking exercise is just not a prerequisite. my chief complaint still is that this moron openly acknowledged that his training in the corps is much easier than the training he was doing before, and he's STILL not trying to get ahead, train extra, learn essential techniques. effectively he's holding himself back with the flimsiest excuse in the world just to be as disposable as that spy in a foreign nation he would have turned out to be had he not decided to waste his time playing ninja. only now he'll be in direct combat instead of maybe possibly a random casualty in the future.
my guy, the Fandom has all the say on what official published works are canon at all, the same canon or separate, and what not, because authors contradict themselves constantly and put out pieces that do not mesh with the previous established work. the author has a lot of weight, but the Fandom still decides when something is dumb or just fits naturally in the established progression of the work. boruto is regarded as practically a fanfiction that spits on the characters from naruto as well as their convictions. I mean, Naruto, cast as an exhausted, overworked, practically absent father despite being able to produce and sustain hundreds of clones at once as a child? A good chunk of the Fandom hates the whole alien business at the end of Naruto shippuden anyways. which brings the whole disconnect where boruto is basically all about the stupid alien clan interests. look at the star wars Fandom. do you realize how little of the published works are considered main canon? Everything everywhere is considered its own, separate canon. look at Harry Potter's sequel, the cursed child. A literal fanfiction endorsed by jkrowling. Nobody takes it seriously. do you really think the author and the publisher decide what is and isn't canon? if an author decides singlehandedly what is canon, they don't have a big enough fan base that cares enough to disagree with them.
why even need to be a ninja in the first place? bro could fish or farm and figure out Chakra in his down time. do something that directly boosts his own profits like basic illusion fish lures based off the bunshin, an earth jutsu to till soil, or a sensory technique for hunting. literally wouldn't be any easier to survive as a stupid child soldier with no dedicated sensei to help them survive, so he might as well just f off and say screw that life.
you do know that boruto and Naruto are not held as the same canon by most of the Fandom? and regardless of that, I never complained about why he hasn't mastered rasengan, just how the hell he forgot the steps to learning rasengan. A-rank jutsu or not, it was simple as can be in principle. Regardless, the mc went from extreme training down to what literally everybody else was doing and grumbling about not knowing how to learn that A-rank jutsu... He could have tree or even waterwalked long before basic training got to that step, because its not like he didn't have the time, energy, or knowledge, yet he didn't and doesn't take advantage of his literal only advantage, foreknowledge and time...
I'm going to be honest, not sure what you're trying to say here. Are you agreeing with me? Disagreeing? I need more context though I'm going to assume you are essentially asking if I think the rasengan should have just disintegrated his weaponised ice wall. If that is the case, then yeah. The rasengan is the highest piercing jutsu in like all of naruto. It regularly smashes through top tier and otherwise unbeatable attacks and defenses like they aren't much of an obstacle at all. We're talking about a high precision, extremely limited point of force attack, a swirling death ball that destroys things both from within and without,, against a inherently area of effect quirk, rasengan should smash right through that. Todoroki's quirk being such a high powered area of effect should already be enough of a challenge. He literally launches tons of ice everywhere and the only thing he has to worry about is getting too cold on accident.
Author is trying to summon cringe Jesus. Really, this level of writing is basically: the man vaguely confronted by two people he cared about proceeded to confess to a life of minor crime that while committed in the service of the most black and white good, still makes him a criminal, and in confessing to these crimes pointlessly endangers any future endeavors along the same line, as well as jeopardizes the people in the know, all basically because he felt bad. Jesus, it makes your brain bleed when characters do stupid shii like this. Its like watching star athletes blow their career on drugs, hoes, and pointless drama. Disappointing in a way that feels like a betrayal because everybody knows they shouldn't do it. Brain rot right here.
