Cool, thank you. This was the picture that showed up. When I googled it.

"These are the M1128 Mobile Gun System or the Stryker Dragoon variants. Although the Stryker family was used extensively, only 142 were equipped with the M68A2 105mm cannon. Three were written off in combat, but we managed to get them repaired."

I did intend to make it appear that he saved her unconsciously. And yes he did not regret it when he was human. But that's where your arguments end. He died. Whatever mentality he had ended after he died.I can't answer the part about Rolland unless you wish to be spoiled. But a returner in any story hardly repeats the same life he lived before he died. My Mc was a coward and a hero wanna be before he died.It was only in death did he realize that being a hero meant nothing. He just wanted to act cool. But when death came for him, he was scared of it.He said so when he discovered what his {fate} was. They are a person's greatest regret given form. In truth, if he knew he would die a meaningless death, he would not have stepped out to save her. After all he experienced the pain of dying. Knowing this he wanted to be careful in the beginning. But unlike on earth, Hell's gate follows the will of the strong. So you either gain strength or die. That's when my Mc broke. If he was going to die anyway, it will be on his terms not his own. After all he was already dead. He has nothing left to lose.

Part 2 His belief in humanity all but broke after one night. Of course he needs counseling. If you add the fact that such would be his life forever. He tried not to think about it just to keep in one piece. He will be called night after night so long as he was alive. This truth would have made most people give up. But my MC still chose to get up and try to make a difference. Because that was what he didn't do when he was human. To go against the tide and live by his own will. Against such a mentality. How could he possibly accept the worlds of an Idealist who have never encountered combat. Please tell your sister my points. If she still believes that my MC had his personality change at the drop of a hat, I will accept that what I wrote was bad. But the Seven dirge Sirens, were writing with clear intention. Each Dirge Siren in the order they appeared, showcased a different side of the war. Both the absolute best in humanity. and Its worst. I eagerly await what her response would be. And Thank you very much for allowing my book to be a part of your lives. As an Author, there can be no greater Joy. Thanks again.

I see. I am honored that my story has given you and your sister something to debated about. I meant no offense. If possible please let your sister hear the other points of my argument. John's background comes from a life of hopelessness and despair. Betrayed by his mom who walked out, his dad who traumatized him with beatings and a girlfriend who left him for another man. He had nothing to live for and acted on impulse just one time and died for it. As I am the author I will refrain from commenting about his core. But in essence, John Smith did everything society told him to do, and it left him a broken man at the end of it. He acted against what common sense and society dictated and took a chance, and died humilitated, beaten without neither praise nor recognition. His death was empty. without purpose and full of regrets. He tried to make himself better by saying that at least he saved one life. But in truth, he very much wanted to not die. he wanted to be loved. and he wanted to be happy. He was told he could have all that if he revived again. Yet instead of the glory of Valhalla that he expected, he was faced to recognized the ugliness of humanity. If as your sister said at his core he is a hero, then the screams he left behind would remain in his mind forever and would have traumatized him further, you cannot have one without the other. A hero will berate himself for failing to save others. He cannot simply brush them off. If you are not a hero, then you could rationalize your actions by saying you jsut did what you needed to survive. You either maintain your sanity and accept you are not a hero, or have your mind break from the guilt. My MC chose the former. (The chapter is aptly named I really am no Hero). This was the case as the moment he returned to Earth he broke down after the enlistment. Finally coming to grips with what he had done. He murdered, He was reckless and he was insane. and It was all real. But he rationalized and forced himself to accept it. The next night, he witnessed failed defenses were the only remainders and corpses. There was no honor. there was no glory. just to be left on the ground without so much as a proper burial. Then he witness Reapers killing each other for sport. Only to learn how desperate the fight for the living truly was. And then he hears of women who refuse to scam people to earn to develop. He was not berating Golden wick for not selling their bodies. He was berating them for holding to their morals and choose to cling to him or be turned into slaves. To them, earning to pay the tax was enough. To Joshn however, the man who saw how many and how desperately the Reapers fought and died for each day Hellsgate remained standing, Of course it was not. How was that not the greatest insult you could ever imagine. To someone like him. Even if he had a heroic side, How would it withstand the desperation that he saw? Scott had his father figure fall in battle, despite claming it was for glory, he did not see its worth. Joshua and Angela had the ones they considered familiy die. Isolde fought for centuries all because she refused to forget her lover. Krishna had to accept his people, women and children throw themselves to their deaths all for a few seconds. Mike and Santi were burried alive and left for dead because they were not helpful. And John himself almost got killed because he tried to do the right thing. It would have been similar to a person who starved himself for his family, only to see a group of people who throw away food. The Saints could have their luxury of Virture because someone else paid for it. This was why he was angry. this was why he couldnt accept it. Because they were waving morals as if they had earned it. It didn't matter if they were close. What mattered was he witnessed it all. Saying that the seven dirge sirens he went through was trivial completely missed the point of the grief he had to bear.

Again I wonder why WN readers are suprised. The dude died for trying to be a hero for once in his life. And no one thanked him, no one even knew. And he died alone in the streets. Full of regrets for the things that he did not do. He tried to be a human in hell and wanted to save people. Only to be stabbed in the thigh and be left for dead.If both circumstances didn't happen, he would have remained sane. But they did. And still few get to read between the lines. What would be necessary for you my dear reader for an Mc to change? To die? To be betrayed? Yeah he did both and you still do not think it was justified. I hope you find a book that has a white knight protagonist then. Because my book doesn't have that.

You are correct that I got the numbers mixed up. but the numbers you computed are also wrong. Again, you are confusing two different set of numbers. The 1100 calories is the calories in a big mac and coke. this was used to establish a baseline. The 62 grams or 303 calories is from a single sneakers bar. The example stated is that a single bite (a piece of the 1100 calorie meal) when multiplied by a thousand would greatly surpass the big mac meal. Say a single bite is worth 5 calories. that would already by 5000 calories. if consumed with {Eat}). As this was too long to explain I simply used the Calories of a sneakers bar. Which should have been 303. If multiplied by a thousand it should have been 303,000 calories not 62,000. So I was also mistaken. Thank you for pointing it out.

Okay I reviewed this and found why you are confused. The first number 2,800 is known as muzzle velocity. this is the speed at which bullets leave the barrel. The second number is the maximum distance a bullet can travel. the two numbers are related but not to be mathed. thats why it does make sense. the Bullet will leave the barrel at 2800 fps. however the bullet has weight, and weigh parrallel to the earth would be dragged to the ground. This is called bullet drop. Thus the muzzle velocity is the theoretical power of the bullet if you do no consider anything else. but heat, elevation, the corriollis effect, wind and the bullet and guns attributes such as rifling and barrel lenght all affect how far the bullet would actually go. under the best of circumstances, the maximum distance is only 1200. which is the number given by the manufacturers of the M60 machine gun during the Vietnam war.

My fingers pulled the trigger and the M60 began spewing lead rounds at 2,800 feet per second. Originally it had an effective range of 1200 yards, which was extended by another 100 yards by mounting it on a tripod.

Many might wonder what the hell I was talking about. I was 5'10'' and weighed in at 200 lbs. How could such a fat fuck run faster than even descendants and a ninja? The answer? {Fates}. Everything I would do from here on out was to show my team and the world one thing. There were no useless {fates}, only useless reapers.
