I know I’m late to the party and all, but Liffy is in fact FTL. Kizaru is literal light and Luffy keeps up therefore light speed minimum. One Piece scaling is goofy as shit but surprisingly consistent between top tiers.

The difference between the LOV and the JL is that you only really see like 6 real members of the LOV. The JL has their core that handles every large threat, but they have hundreds of heroes that can sub in and out for each situation. They have multiple teams like the Young Justice for more minor threats.

You’re right how the author is really just using his lower levels of demonic energy to limit him. I know it’s meant to be a limitation and to separate him from Adaloth, but it’s dumb they refuse to let him work on it. I really thought they were gonna have him go down an Ajuka route, mastering complex spells, but have him constantly need to work on his reserves to keep up.
