the story is exhilarating to read- the adventure of a school trip which takes an unexpected turn is a brilliant idea for an action packed short short story. The most exciting part of the story is when Veeir, Jack and Sandy are trying to sleep inside the house, and they are woken by the sounds of wild animals outside. This is most terrifying situation where the boys are in clear danger-this is the climax of the story, when tension rises and rises and sense of the danger becomes worse and worse until it is at the peak which is called the climax...[img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins][img=coins]
The Boys were about to undress from those heavy body armors, helmets, and swords. Then again, the loud roaring sounds near the house frightened them that their hearts were hammering and palms sweated. They broke out in a cold sweat. They all clung to each other in despair. They were numb with fear! They prayed. They chanted. They peeped out of a small hole between two stones of the wall and an ambush of tigers were drinking water from the pond. The story set up, boys' preparation for the trip to Dhikala and fun in bus is well described. Sandy's characterization as class clown is good.
On the way, some children read their favorite books while others were either playing mobile games or watching a movie on their tablets. Sandy was quite popular for his jokes in the class. His hilarious jokes made Jack and Veeir laugh till their stomachs hurt. It was truly a rollicking journey to the campsite. The children arrived early in the evening, the rays of the sun still falling crisply all across Dhikala. It was the most joyous moment for Jack, Sandy, and Veeir when the athletics teacher, Miss John announced that the school was organizing a camping trip to Dhikala, Jim Corbett National Park. Jack, Sandy, and Veeir were on cloud nine dreaming about freedom and four spectacular days of unimaginable fun and excitement. They would return with tales of adventure and thrill. Dhikala was one of the few locations in the country that allowed visitors to spend a few days in the heart of the forest nestled between the outer foothills of the Himalayas and the Shivalik Hills, blessed with freshwater flora and alpine together with lovely weather, its beauty was unrivalled. The national park has been divided into six ecotourism zones: Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, Sonanadi, Durgadevi, and Dhela. The most famous denizens of this forest were the Bengal Tiger and the Asiatic Elephant. Wow! I am amazed with the vocabulary used in the story. The campsite and forest description is quite well written. The boys planned their safety quite well by choosing the first floor to stay overnight. I wish, ghost scene would have been a little longer but overall very satisfying to read.
