The movies are more or less the filmed and condensed version of the comics, they even follow the same trend; super popular and loved at the beginning and then everything goes downhill with new all female teams that no one likes. Comics are usually longer and more detailed than movies, mainly because you neither want 5h movies nor skyhigh production cost. MCU, DC aswell as Star wars all have more expansive and detailed comics, and these are only the ones i know of. It also gives book based games/movies like The Witcher or Halo where the same applies.
