Edward is paranoid to no end, he also has extreme control issues. These are just two reason as to why he isn’t trustful of AI, however that doesn’t mean he doesn’t see the value of such technology. If he was that closed minded, he would have died to dumbledoer in the first arc. As for Morganna, he created ‘her’ with a base soul, I believe using pieces of his and voldermart’s horcruxes. He then place multiple binding spells and contracts to have her be full under his control. However as time went on she has showed how useful she is with calculation and Turning impossible ideas Edward comes up with into reality, eg. the Arcane Rune System would not have been possible without the processing power of morganna, or the countless other simulation she has done for Edward’s experiments. Because of this he is a lot more trusting to her than almost anyone else, I bet she knows more about him then most of his wives, he’s spent more time with her across multiple realities than other members of his family.
