Re write as I'm sure you will be able to make improvements to the overall development of the story

I know but at the very least stick with dealing with adults when it comes to relationships it's all I'm saying. Like the other suggestions that were made earlier.

Involving the devil's seems a bit repetitive though you could hold off on that for a but longer till the MC has properly suited out things in their fraction.
