/CONTINUATION UPDATE: 18-11-2024/ Hi everyone, author here! After completing a few projects of mine and getting back into the groove of things, I can finally say that I'm taking back on this huge project! As some of you may know, it's no secret that writing over 130 000 words on a story can be particularly taxing, especially with a regular schedule and another job. But after letting time do its thing, I've regained what I felt I'd lost, which is passion. It's the reason why I left it alone for so long. I'd rather let it sit and stew than ruin the story and lose those invested in it. But what's in store now? Well, I've not been idling doing nothing. I've written other stories, matured and, more importantly, been acquiring a better, and frankly cleaner, writing style. This means I'm currently going over every chapter (re-writing some and fixing story plots in others), meaning you can expect a muuuuuuuch better version of the novel you already loved. This process should last about 15-20 days (Man, I was writing a lot), but don't expect new chapters to drop when it's done. One thing I learned is that it's better to accumulate a bank, which will be 15 chapters long. This'll ensure that no long hiatus happen again. And that's all I had to say today! Thanks to everyone who stuck around, and I hope to see you back in the comments :)

As a side note, this novel is also already, and in its entirety, available on Amazon through various mediums. I will not make this premium here, so if you want to support me, just reading it for free through Kindle would help me for the second novel! Happy reading!

I won't promise anything (Because let's be real, I've been negligent when it comes to nemesis), but I've been looking at it again recently, especially since I've finished this one. Fingers crossed :)

Hi everyone, author here! It's been awhile since I've written here, but I figured I'd post my entire new novel. That's right, there are 52 chapters queued up that will be released daily at 7am EST. I hope you enjoy! Good reading

Well, to be frank, I haven't really decided about how I want the MC to develop. Involving a harem (one that is properly constructed) is very hard and requires a ton of character development, so we'll see. The possibility certainly isn't off the table.

I'm so sorry :( I've just been having issues reaching webnovel's staff (My editor in particular), and without that, this novel is a bit in no man's land... I don't really know when this will be resolved, but until this is settled, the uploads will be slowed down by a lot (Might even be stopped for a while). I'm still trying my best to see how to navigate this problem, but it isn't easy and there seems to be a massive shortage of editors, so it's looking grim to say the least. Still, truly sorry about that, and I'll try my best to solve it as soon as I can

Hello everyone! This is a novel that's gone through (Already!) quite a few revisions! So far, I feel like it reads well and has a decently fleshed out story! It has also been approved to become a premium title, but this won't be enacted until I'm certain (A mistake I've made on my first novel...) that readers are hooked and want more, meaning you can still expect a lot more free chapters! Happy reading! :)

System Nemesis

Between the howls and wails, the screams and cries of women being raped, and the villagers being eaten and butchered like cattle, there was a middle-aged man who was desperately running away while yelling his lungs out. ''Why.... WHY!!! YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKERS!!!'' His clothes were in tatters and marred in blood, with his body being barely able to function. His state was simply beyond recognition. As for where he was running to... It didn't matter... He just wanted to flee the hellish scene that was unfolding behind him. His remote village, the one he had lived in his entire life, was now a fiery beacon illuminating the night. ''Whyyyyy areeeeeee youuuuuuuuuu runninnnnnnnnnnng awwaaayyyy froooooom usssssssss?'' Terrifying low growls and voices could be perceived behind him, and every time he heard them, his body released adrenaline to try to override its limits, but to no avail as his injuries were just too severe. The humanoid creatures pursuing him were like shadows, barely distinguishable through the cover of the night. Their eyes, akin to black holes, were fixed on their prey as it struggled for its pathetic life. Their faint and sinister giggles kept reverberating through the darkness... *** As blood rushed up his throat and leaked at the corners of his mouth, his sinister appearance aggravated to where he resembled a devil. During his maniacal laugh, his punctured lungs had finally given out, causing his whole body to collapse on the ground and dyeing it a scarlet shade. His mind went blank, while his consciousness left his battered body. *** After what appeared to be a few minutes, he suddenly woke up. He was startled at first, but he soon realized that he had indeed died. Everything around him was black, without an ounce of life in sight. He was basically a spirit floating in the absolute void. ''So this is what happens when you die... You just drift in darkness... That's actually underwhelming. I wonder if I'll just fade away'' When Derrick's thoughts started to drift, a prompt appeared in front of him. [Welcome to System Nemesis, Derrick Tarlin] [Would you like to seek revenge? Yes/No]
