The Butterfly of Delirium screeched as her halberd tore into its left wing. She took a breath, bobbed under a bolt of liquid poison as she pulled her halberd back. She spun on her heel, momentum building, and she swung her halberd onto the Butterfly's chest.

"Knew you'd do it." She heard Sir Evans say, and she blinked as he suddenly came up to her. There was a proud grin on his lips. "That Lost was resistant, not immune. The fact that your halberd had even injured it showed just how strong you are." He patted her head. "Good work."

It was late in the afternoons now. He and Io had made it to Louis' base in the morning, and they'd been introduced to everyone. It was an odd experience. He'd seen the same scene from the game. And now he'd experienced in-person; heard the same lines word-by-word.

He glanced at her for a moment. Blond hair, with eyes of dull silver. She could've easily passed as a model back on Earth. She could probably do it still. With her top that didn't cover her stomach, and those tight-fitting jeans—it was a look that wholly didn't fit with a veteran that lived in a dying world.

Evans whistled, and then winced. He'd been massaging his wrists as he was reading through his Status. He'd pressed wrong then. Grazed the bruise that was forming across his hand. It hurt.

And there at the center stood a monolith. A monster nearly 10 feet in height, with engorged shotguns as arms and a massive musket replacing its skull. Its jaws were made of rusted iron, and its teeth made of bullet casings. Its legs were made of coiled flesh, each dripping with steaming blood.

No problem! Honestly, I started this with Code Vein in mind, and I knew it wasn't that popular of a game in the first place. Besides, it's not like the arc will last that long anyway. And we still have Solo Leveling's story running alongside this one.

For as many worlds reach their happy endings, countless more fall to ruin. Stories robbed of their chance of victory, left to rot and die in the drought of the apocalypse. Tokyo is to be devoured by Mementos. The Golden Morning will blind the world. Fodlan will be crushed by the weight of war. Tristain is swallowed by the Dragon. Teyvat will burn to ash. A man’s wish for the Holy Grail will drown the world. The Honkai will infect all. I’m here to change that. (I.E. One day, an 8 year-old Issei Hyoudou trips and bumps his head. He falls unconscious, and as he sleeps he suddenly remembers his previous life. When he awakens though, he suddenly finds that his eyes have changed. He now lives with the Eyes of God, capable of seeing through every and all things. But things don't remain calm. With his new eyes, he comes to realize that this world isn't as safe as he thought it was. Monsters and demons and gods lie in waiting, and he was but a boy.
