to be honest i agre that tensura is far more interesting with far more posibilities like you can have eny waifu you want in it loaks wise plus if you plan it good enaf and with a bit of luck you can even have not only loaks but personality of desired waifu just find monste/demon/spirit that waifu most resembles name them and conection formed betwin you will influence loaks and to some ekstent personality of beaing named by you

Unles you can advance/evolve them into a Dragon then they are not worth much of course im not in full understanding of rules yet so if they can evolve in to difrent clans/groups with they own specialty and diversity with some of them even awakening traces of difrent blodlines Dragon/basilisk/naga...etc then this one would be worth picking but from what I sow so far its mostlikely im streching this bit to much but hey man can dream
