good hook and interesting enough plot to keep you wanting for more. biggest gripe i have with the novel is the characters. the way they speak is unnatural, written like an ai wrote their dialogue, even their internal monologue sounds stiff and unnatural. another thing is their intelligence, the side characters feel like their a level dumber than the mc and they dont really act their age, things just happen and they just accept it. no questions asked.

writing style is amateurish at best. he has a habit of telling and not showing although it might be because he doesnt care about the background of the mc. the author claims ch 2-17 or so isn't important and you can read ahead its where the background of the main characters are set. and its exetremely brushed off to the point where- **spoilers** a 7 year timeskip where, 2 months of no info about the mc and he inexplicably gets 1st place even though he only got a book, the exam wasnt even shown, it was just told that it happened the bond of the siblings is also implied to be a big part of their background and yet the author doesnt show it, he just says that theyre very close. somehow, no explainable reason, mc's sister and the other mc is chased into an alleyway by assassins. keep in mind the previous chapter was them getting accepted into the academy of the most renowned magic school in the story. and they manage to kill the 1st place of the students(the mc). **spoilers** he cares so little of the background that he just makes stuff up and expects us to not care about it. if your not even gonna put in the effort for it why did you even bother to write it in the novel in the first place? its redundant and lowers the quality of the novel as a whole. the story is the generic schmuck of getting reincarnated into a novel that the sites author's have been obsessed with the past few years, not even adding an interesting twist to it. generic and boring. character design is fine i guess so is the updates the magic systems "abilities" have no set ranking. they just say its this level so its gotta be that. and the world is as generic copy and paste mideaval world with a magci academy type stuff. its not inherently bad but the author doesnt really make it his own, not adding anything new to it dont even get me started on the 1 dimensional characters overall quite amateurish

started reading novels because i felt life was boring and tiresome. novels made it worse lol

follows the generic plot of face slapping enemies with his overpoweredness and other cliches while keeping some originality to them. im dropping around ch 165, bc of the stupidity of the mc. at that point of literally escaping with an inch of his life and his second greatest secret potentially leaking, instead of self reflecting on his arrogance and stupid mistakes and looking to find out if someone survived, he goes and gets drunk on wine. im also getting tired of the cliche lines the author throws at us, very lame.
