80% of all participating forces perishing is an insanely huge defeat for all involved. any competent commander would've pulled back before, as a medieval army was usually considered crippled and annihilated at just 50%.
the plot thickens
i dont think a lot of the inquisitors who abused their power felt guilty about it. the ones who tortured and rəped the elf didnt seem all that concerned about it for example.
