Goddess's influence doesn't work inside the corrupted region, in fact the gods themselves know very little about what's happening inside them. Essentially yes, but there's plenty of stuff they don't know about themselves or are being limited by as well. Like Mel's woodland magic, it reminds her of the fact that her parents abandoned her so she doesn't use it much as she'd inherited it through them. Aria is limiting herself in her own way, so is Raven, so is Amedith as well.

The lands began getting corrupted just recently with the resurfacing of demon lord's generals so the kingdoms have settled already and then these places are now separating them from each other.
