Guy has a lot more than just strength. Ki, Aura, Spiritual Power, Magicka, which can all be transmuted into each other now that Equivalent Exchange is a thing. Plus he's got a bunch of bullshit generic skills boosting his damage output exponentially like Sprinting + Melee + Knife Throwing.

There are certain... implications with my choice for his Semblance. That's all I feel comfortable sharing without potentially spoiling things that won't appear in the story for a good while.

It's kinda wonky, but the main thing I want to get across is that he's a blank slate as far as specific fictional powers and franchises are concerned. It's not explicitly stated, but this whole internal monologue is purely his subconcious thoughts, so he's not even aware that he's thinking in terms of "America? What is that and how do I know about it?" This comes up in a later chapter.
