Man, this is not only good, but legitimately superb. Far far far better than what you normally find on this site. The author does a great job of balancing the various facets of writing, the world, the characters, the slowly unraveling plot. It's all done extremely well.

The author managed to draw out a single hit to the face for half the chapter... I can't help but wonder if he predicted the oscars and was affected by what happened.
