sister is not a common words to adress their sister in japan. its onee- or should i say big sis is a lot more appropriate. in japan, you say 'sister' instead of 'big/little sis' when you wan to explain to someone that someone is your sister. so something like 'she is my sister'. even than still uncommon because japanese would use 'she is my big/little sis' instead. in japan respecting older one and hierarchy in position is important that every family instill that in their child.
