I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this story is a bit confusing . I still don’t understand fl’s regret or how she was wronged.

I hope the hiatus ends soon. This is my favorite novel. I miss it sooo much.

I know this is a fictional story but comments about “ darker skinned people having lower status” is so offensive. From the description of the vacation setting we can conclude country M is the U.S. In fact darker skinned people do not have lower status. The socioeconomic climate is more complicated than black skin vs. white skin. (I’ll leave it at that.). But, overall I really like this novel.

Love the novel. I love strong female leads. Regretfully I can’t access updates because chapters remain locked. I received error messages saying “ something went wrong. “ ☹️

Im also confused. It seems to be a change the relationship. I thought they were close. Did the story change?
