He would need to improvise and just use the major plot points and all he would end up with if he has no writing experience would be poorly written fanfiction, and if he does have writing experience it would end up completely different from the original work and it would be a toss up as to whether it would be successful. Actually it would be a toss up if it was successful or not even if he reproduces the work exactly considering this is a completely different world with completely different values and culture.

It really sucks for the workers with arachnophobia though because they use spiders as pest control and they float up with the cranberries and try to get out of the water using the bodies of the workers harvesting the cranberries in waders. Those workers get covered in literal swarms of medium to large coin sized spiders while wading in waist deep water with nowhere to run or hide. Literal nightmare fuel.
