I don’t think the author understands how expensive construction can be. Those millions MC has to renovate the place would not even be close to enough for that amount of work. Maybe it’s enough for one of the 5 projects, but even then not likely. Especially if he blows most of it on luxury materials (which also don’t automatically become something you can use in construction)

Can someone point me to the MTL, I might enjoy that more. Feels like something is lost in translation. Novel itself starts out alright, but develops too quickly, feels like the plot is rushed which sucks because I like a good slow burn kingdom building story.

MC is reading into things way too much here. Which parent would not want to know a little more about those measures? Even if they don’t understand the magic behind it, simply listing a couple examples would have been plenty to keep them from worrying that n the future…
