"You knew and didn't tell me?!" Maya was furious at Nate for not telling her.
"Come, let's talk about it in the office—" Nate began to say but he quickly shook his head and changed his mind, as if there was something in the office he didn't want her to see. "Living room."
Nate led her toward the direction they had come.
They sat next to each other on a couch that overlooked the marvelous view of the sea of clouds and the towering tops of mountains and a few buildings.
"Arlington City," Nate said as he noticed Maya studying the view before them.
Maya nodded in understanding as she took a deep breath and sighed.
"I didn't tell you at first because I didn't have the chance to do so," Nate explained as he reached over and held her hand in his. "Everything happened so fast, I found out about your cousin's plans and I had to make a move."
Maya bit her lower lip and nodded.
She understood that part.
