Chapter 1: Allen McGonagail

"Look! Yoichi's having his red-day again.", a boy shouted which made the whole room burst into laughter early in a morning shift class. He is the 10-year-old Yoichi, the one who is having a nosebleed again. It happens to him very often, causing most of his classmates tempted to bully or laugh at him, who would've want that, right? Including his fat body type, it developed a shy, introvert Yoichi. "Here, I bought you a napkin. Go on and stop your bleeding already, it stinks.", the boy continued to bully him making the room to laugh even louder. "You're the one that stinks Troy, shut up and go away!", another boy just came in from the restroom. He is Allen, having such a slim body. "Woah!, here comes your boyfriend. Just right in time, I have a chicken stucked between my teeth.", Troy replied temptingly. "Do you want me to remove those teeth so that you can eat the chicken?", Allen answered back mocking him. "So brave for a toothpick, huh?", Troy replied as he walks closely to Allen looking straight eye to eye. Then suddenly, their teacher came in. "What's happening here?", the teacher asked. "Yoichi's having his menstruation.", a girl classmate answered, making the room loud again. "Silence! Are you alright Yoichi?", asked by the teacher so Yoichi nodded. "Let's go to the clinic.", she said abruptly as she guide Yoichi to the clinic then finding the two staring again to each other closely. "Make any trouble in my room, and you can consider yourselves expelled, understand?", the teacher said. "After school.", Troy whispered as he turned away from Allen. He ignored Troy and followed the teacher with Yoichi. "Can I come too, ma'am?", he asked. "Sure, for he might faint on the way. Thanks Allen.", the teacher replied. "Thanks, Allen.", followed by Yoichi. "No problem.", Allen replied.

They reached the clinic and the nurse wasn't there, so the teacher look for her. "No problem, huh?", Yoichi asked with a smile. "Yeah, why? Do we have any?", Allen asked curiously. "Me? I don't have any, I'm used to this. But you?, I don't think that big brute will let that slip that easy. Why stand for me?", Yoichi said. "Everyone else there are so shallow, so if I wouldn't, who would?", replied by Allen. "I mean, no one has to. That's just a childish joke.", Yoichi explained. "Are you some sort of a clown or something? That's an insult, and definitely not joke.", scolded by Allen. Yoichi's nose began to bleed again so Allen took some tissue. "I know.", Yoichi replied in a very low tone. "But this happens almost everyday. So if I let myself into it, and loose my temper, I'll be in trouble everyday.", he added. "Then let me lessen that trouble.", Allen said as he give some pieces of tissue to Yoichi which made him smile. "I might have not introduced myself properly. I'm Yoichi Whitlock, and you're the transferee right? Allen....", Yoichi said as he lend his hand for a handshake, waiting for Allen to respond. "McGonagail, friends?", he asked as a reponse while shaking Yoichi's hand. "Of course!", Yoichi responded. "Sorry that I didn't offer that though. I thought you will be as disgusted as they are, and.... for forgetting your name as well, you just introduced yourself yesterday, right? I'm so forgetful.", he added as he drank water. "Don't worry about that, I totally understand. And about my last name, you're not the only one. Some says it's so ancient. Just think of McDonald being gay.", Allen replied causing Yoichi to be choked then asked, "What?", "MC-GONA-GAY-L, get it?", Allen replied making Yoichi giggle. "It lacks of 'be' and how about the 'L'?", commented by Yoichi. "That's the thing. All you have to do is remember the letter 'L', which makes it easier, right?", Allen answered. "You're really good at joking, I hope you didn't tell that to others who did the same thing as me.", Yoichi said sarcastically. "I know, I know, but I helped you back there, so just appreciate it.", Allen replied. "Alright.", Yoichi responded as they cracked to their laughter. Just a few moments passed when the teacher came back with the nurse and took Allen back to the classroom. They just signalled each others goodbye with their eyes, as the nurse started to check Yoichi.
