Yggdrasil: Worsap (Overlord FF)

Finch was just another slave, the 12th generation of worker drones, under the mega-corporations. He was fed up with his life and planned to commit suicide, leaving his grey and lifeless world behind. Too bad life has a surprise for him. I do not own Overlord. I also don't own the cover image.

Living Lands of Pangea

(Author's Note: I was addicted to writing and did it for the meme. Here is another chapter.)

5 minutes previously

Treech floated above the crowd of wood elves and players covered by the [Perfect Unknowable] spell. He readied himself mentally for the most important part of his plan in taking down the city's defenses and forces. He had succeeded in luring the NPC army to this location using his knowledge and experiments involving the Yggdrasil morale system, but he hadn't done any experiments on his next Super Tier spell since the spell requirements were normally too difficult to keep concealed if he were to practice it.

Yes, Treech's grand strategy relied on his ability to cast a Super Tier spell which he learned when he reached level 70 and maxed out his [Grand Driud] class. Players would be able to get access to Super Tier spells to add to their spellbook, each level after 70. And they had a maximum of N super tier spells they could cast per day where N is incremented by 1 every 10 levels after level 70. This means since the maximum player level was 100, the most a player could cast in one day, was 4 Super Tier spells and have a maximum of 30 Super Tier spells recorded in their spellbook. Super Tier Spells did not follow the rules of normal spell casting and could be learned through being taught the spells by a master directly, special events in the game, or by maxing certain magic caster classes.

Treech was banking on abusing his level difference from the rest of the players, maximizing the effect of the Super Tier Druid spell he learned at level 70. The spell had messy cast requirements and its strength depended on the casting location. Places with more wood elements would increase the power of the spell, and the redwood forest was a perfect ingredient for it.

Little did Treech know, that his actions would cause future city settlements to fear building too close to forests and wooded areas.

"I guess it's time to see how this goes." He spoke out loud to himself. Unfortunately, nobody could hear him past the effects of the [Perfect Unknowable] spell. Treech prepared a spell and quietly broke the invisibility, from behind a redwood tree, of [Perfect Unknowable] by casting the 10th Tier spell variation of Armageddon.

"Triplet Delay Magic: Armageddon: Plants"

Treech cast a 10th Tier magic like it was no issue. His mana lost from the cast was only half as much as what a normal 10th tier spell would cause, due to his racial ability [Green Mana] from his custom race. It halved the mana cost of all druid magic. He calmly floated out from behind the tree and spoke a taunting line to ease his nerves.

"Nice to meet you, people of Forth Rite city." He said loudly.

The entire legion of elven NPCs and looked over in his direction along with the players. The NPCs were confused and frantic that their counter invisible defenses couldn't detect him as they started shouting things like:

"Who are you?"

"Explain yourself how did you appear past our sense units?"

And other comments. While the players commented things like:

"Ew, it's a heteromorph player."

"Haha, is he retarded? Free drops for us then!"

"You appeared in the wrong place guy. This is hilarious, I'm recording this."

Treech sighed in annoyance before he gave a short speech on why he was here.

"I've come to take back what's mine and repay a few of you who took from me when I couldn't fight back. Just because you can PK without consequence doesn't mean you should and I have a feeling that this problem will only get worse. So for the sake of the future, I will be your reminder that things won't always be so easy. You may have the Yggdrasil system supporting you when you hunt us, but I can tell you..." Treech's eyes flashed in an exciting light.

"It is not enough to protect you from me." Treech smiled widely. It looked incredibly creepy to on-lookers.

Treech started to cast Super Tier magic, right then and there, remaining absolutely still, completely vulnerable in the air. Gasps of admiration and astonishment rang out through the crowd of players once the 11 spell circles appeared. Meanwhile, the NPCs felt the pressure of the Super Tier spell and scrambled to bark out orders.

"What are you doing?! Stop that magic caster!"

But it was too late. Treech crushed a small hourglass, [Charn's Hourglass], in his hand. It was a cash shop Gachapon item that was available when the game first launched. When it was expended, it instantly completed any remaining cast time for the spell. The 11 circles flashed as the spell was ready for Treech to speak the command words and release the spell. And for the first time in Yggdrasil, Players witnessed a Super Tier spell.

"[Super Tier Spell: Living Lands of Pangea]!" Treech yelled.

One second passed before the ground underneath all the elven forces and players rolled like ocean waves. Mouth-like fissures sprung up from the ground and crunched on some of the elven troops in their armor, burying them halfway in the ground. The ground opened up a large mass as if the ground itself was alive and it completely devoured the surrounding redwood trees. It crunched as it bit down on the trees, while the landmass underneath all the players swirled like a large whirlpool, dragging the majority of them to sink halfway into the ground.

The Argarthan tree was not spared, as it was eaten and collapsed into the earth, the goblins that were residing on the lowest branch, at Treech's temporary dwelling fell down to their deaths. A few of the stronger ones survived the fall, but they were severely weakened.

"Magic casters, cast Mass Fly Spell on us! Hurry!" A few players demanded but they were interrupted by Treech's laughing.

"Hahahaha! It's already too late." he laughed excitedly.

The rumbling whirlpool stopped as the redwood trees had finished being devoured by the earth. An awkward quiet settled on the battlefield for a moment before Treech's delayed magic: [Armaggedon: Plants] activated. Slowly a green light enveloped the surroundings before plant creatures of all kinds appeared behind Treech: Spriggans, Malwant's. Treants, Elder Treants, Hawkmen, and many other forest creatures appeared as over 10k+ were summoned as an army.

"Is this it?" A cocky player taunted, halfway rooted in the ground from the effects of the super tier spell earlier.

Treech glanced at him before chuckling.

"Not quite."

And as if waiting for those words, 3 gigantic masses of earth and redwood tree towered up over the forces. They stood hundreds of meters tall, with bent and broken redwood tree's being used as the top and bottom half of what looked like a jaw. Roots and earth squirmed around the 3 creatures, holding in place any of the Players who still had [Fly] cast on them, dragging them towards the creature's mouths.

"Hahahahahaha I never expected such a great result! Primordial! I actually summoned the Primordial living lands! Hahahaha that's hilarious!" Treech began laughing loudly. However, everyone was too busy gawking at the powerful creature's status on their HUD to focus on him.

"How.. what?" The players couldn't understand what they were seeing. How could a player summon something like this?

"HuntersBG, regroup! Focus attacks on that magic caster. Ignore those and attack the summoner! " A few clever group leaders yelled out to regain order. Their thoughts were to focus their attacks on Treech and ignore the summons.

"Haha, come!" Treech laughed as players rushed at him. Spells were slung across the way from him and hit him constantly from both the players and the elven troops. He ordered his summoned units to finish off the rooted enemy troops that were still climbing out of the ground.

The summoned units from Armaggedon: Plants jumped on them all and the 3 Primordial Living lands, swung out their branches, and swept the area with large attacks, heavily damaging the rooted troops. Treech microed his living lands to deal as much damage as possible, killing off the remaining goblins as well as around 12k+ elven defensive troops, before sending them off to target [Forth Rite] City's magical defense towers.

On his HUD, he had to ignore the constant bombardment of messages.

Finally, as the last goblin was defeated. Treech saw the notification he had been waiting for.

========***++++***========

Congratulations, Player [Treech] for claiming [Goblin Swampforest] location for your monster race.

Multiple Race Classes were detected.

Select a race for the monster territory:

- [Star-Dust Ethermorph]

- [Treant]

He immediately selected the Star-Dust option and the [Goblin Swampforest] changed into the [Star-Dust Swampforest], now spawning Star-Dust races in the area. He continued to tank the damage from the players and elven forces attacks laughing to himself in excitement. The laughing unnerved the players as they couldn't figure out if they were doing anything at all to him. They couldn't tell any information from their HUDs or see Treech's HP due to his racial talent [World Shelter].

"What the hell is this? Is this 'heteric' cheating?" A few players cursed as sweat rolled down their brows.

Of course, Treech wasn't cheating. The secondary effect of the Super Tier Spell: Living Lands of Pangea provided damage linking effect. 60% of the damage dealt with the summoner would be transferred to the 3 living lands evenly during the duration of the summoning. And the defense of the living lands is applied again over the player's initial defense damage.

This was combined with his racial talent [World Shelter] to create an unsolvable mystery about why he was able to tank so much damage from the combined effort of hundreds of players and mid-Tier spells.

"Hahaha, Triplet Maximize Magic: Star Collapse!" Treech cast his favorite AOE damage spell in the center of some of the forces. The black and silver orb condensed and imploded in the center of the troops, causing the deaths of many players and NPCs. This continued for another 5 minutes until only a little more than 5k+ troops from the city remained.

"We need to notify the guilds!"

"This guy has sent his summons towards Forth Rite. "

"I already sent a message to them!"

Many magic casters started to give up and teleport away from the war zone with [Greater Teleportation]. The elven army was completely ruined. As they tried to retreat, they ran into the newly spawned Star-Dust race creatures inside the [Star-Dust Swampforest]. They were slowly widdled down until they were all completely dead.

Treech glanced at his exp bar which showed he was level 78 now. he thought it was funny that he leveled up so many times, despite having a 1 week timed debuff decreasing his total experience gain by 70%. He closed his level-up windows, as he would put in his skill points later. Right now, he had a city to take.

He commanded his nature army to follow behind the 3 towering living lands in the distance towards Forth Rite city and he walked with them, hurriedly stashing away all the dropped items from the NPCs and players into his inventory.

...

Inside the Labyrinth of Khiss.

"What the hell?!" DeathTones panicked when he heard the message from some of the players in Forth Rite city. His guild had spent so many resources investing in the city and as he watched the Super Tier spell from the recordings on the forum, he was anxious to call of the Raid. But he couldn't leave for another hour!

He paced back and forth tiredly trying to think of some way that he could intervene and save the city. He bit his nails in stress thinking. After a few moments, he realized a method.

"[Escape Rope]! That useless item actually has a use." He pulled out his only escape rope item he won from the Gachapon, early on when the game first launched. Now the Gachapon would only be available on holidays for a limited time, but he was thankful he had this item now.

He asked around for his other raid members if they also had any escape ropes to help him defend. But sadly, none of them did, or they had sold them off because they thought them to be useless. With a heavy heart full of resolve, DeathTones activated his escape rope. Escaping the dungeon ahead of schedule and teleported to the city immediately.

(Author's Note: How did I do with creating a Super Tier Spell of Yggdrasil standards? Let me know in the comments.)
