Meeting with my parents

Isla was in the custody of this man? First of all there was something suspicious about this man.

He takes control over my father's company and takes custody over Isla? Why do I feel like there's something I'm missing out here.

"Please let go of her" I pleaded with him.

"Let go? Of course! Once you become mine I will give you anything you want!" he answered me.

"Oh so AFTER guessing how cheap and dumb this FAMILY is, you decide that their daughter is cheap and dumb too?" I asked him.

"Oh I like that"

I left him and went outside to take a breather.

All this was just too much! I was just tired. Just then Laila and AJ came out to me.

"Hey Arden are you okay?" Laila asked.

"Yes. Why did you leave like that?" AJ added.

"I'm...I'm okay let's just go back home". I said.

"I'm sorry I have to go back to Spain tomorrow so I'll have to go to my mom's place today". Laila explained.

"Ok see you later" AJ said.

I hugged her one last time.

"Bye Ardie!" I waved.

"Bye". she waved her hands back at me and left.

We went back home and I sank into my bed. How was Isla being treated? I hoped she was feeling okay.

Tomorrow I'll have to go to work and when I do, I would ask him about Isla. I wanted to get my sister back at all costs. My parents could rot in jail for all I care.

I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in".

"Hey" AJ said.

"Hey. Come in!"

"How are you doing?"

"I've certainly done better. How are you feeling?" I asked him back.

"Good!"

"I noticed you...eh...at the.... eh....party with this guy. Couldn't get his face because of the too many people and the party lights ".

" oh... that was my boss. The CEO!"

" oh...right he looked so familiar".

"Maybe?"

" okay.. I'll just leave now". AJ said feeling informed.

"Okay ".

"Goodnight". he said.

"Night".

The next morning.

I arrived early at work and sat in my office. My office was situated where I could get a better view of my bosses office. I started off with some paperworks but my attention was half divided.

After a whole hour I noticed he was in. The CEO was just in. I hated calling him that! I had to get his name.

I received a call shortly on my phone.

"Hello?"

"Come into my office right now". He ordered.

" I will be right there".

Now somebody's ordering Arden? I gotta get used to this.

I got into his office real quick and sat not caring what his reaction would be.

"So, have you thought about everything? I can even get your parents out of there". he said.

I just stared blankly at him.

"You know what? Follow me!" he said and picked up his coat and car key!

I just stared blankly at him giving him the impression that I didn't trust him. And oh! I really didn't!!

"Just follow me. Trust me I want to fix things with you".

Somehow I just followed him and then he led me to his car. After about an hour and half we got to where he wanted us to be. We got out and walked together with him in the lead.

He muttered something to someone and they let us in. We kept walking down this long corridor. As I looked around I saw where we had come. It all looked familiar and my heart started to drum against my chest. I thought I was ready but guess I wasn't after all. We were offered seats and I slumped into one nervously. Just then I saw them. My parents!

They looked lean and disheveled.

Tears welled up in my eyes. And I cried.... Sorry I wept that day.

"Mom!" I reached out my hands to touch her her hands against the glass and she touched it too.

"Dad...dyyy"

"I want to be alone with them". I said to him and he left.

"Mom, please come back!" I wept!

"Baby all will be well".

"Mom Isla is in custody of that man!"

" We know Hun!"

"You...you know?" I asked surprised wiping my eyes dry of the liquid.

"Yes! Several days earlier before our arrest he was a worker in our company. He was a newbie. He acted strangely most at times and was seen in places he shouldn't be in the company! I suspected something of him. One-day I had a call from an unknown number it turned out to be him.

I aked him what he wanted after recognizing him!

He told me he wanted to destroy us just as we destroyed his family! I didn't know what he was talking about! I ended the call thinking he was crazy! And then our arrest happened!

He came to see us the next day after our arrest. I asked him who he was and he answered me saying your dad knew.

Your dad said he was a son of Richard the one we asked you to live with. I asked him what he wanted and he said that he wanted you. I couldn't just let him get my baby for free. So I asked him for the freedom of Isla if he gets you. Please Arden do this for us!"

All this revelation was just shocking! I knew there was something weird about that man.

" Mom do you know Richard's no more?" I said just to catch how pale my dad went.

"when...how and who are you living with now then?" my mom managed to say.

"Don't you bother about that mom, I will have to think about this!"

"Sure babe take all the time you need!"

"Mom I'll bring you some food tomorrow!"

"You can cook?".my mom asked shocked and I almost rolled my eyes.

"No, not really..but...but I am learning".

"I am so sorry. We were very bad parents".

"NO MOM! Please don't say that!". I guess they knew themselves too - -.

"Your time is up" an officer reminded.

"Thank you officer see you tomorrow mom".

"Bye see you tomorrow. Love".

I had a whole lot of research to do.
