"Alright then, Xunxun, find a live-in nanny to take care of Qianxun."

Li Yuan didn't force them either.

"Okay, I understand."

Li Mingxun glanced at Luo Qianxun, she knew he was just placating Li Yuan and wouldn't actually hire a nanny for her.

She didn't need one anyway.

The phone rang and Li Mingxun took it out to see the call was from Jiang Xinjie. He got up and walked over to the window to answer, "What's up?"

"Brother Mingxun, I just had a nightmare and I'm very scared."

Jiang Xinjie's voice was shaking, "Can you come to the hospital to keep me company now?"

"I'm at the old house."

Li Mingxun glanced at the dining room, "Once I finish dinner with Grandpa, I'll come to be with you."

"Alright then."

Jiang Xinjie was obedient and didn't make a fuss, "I'll wait for you."

"Have the nurse make you some snacks, you need to eat more now, okay?"

Li Mingxun gently coaxed Jiang Xinjie, "You're about to become a mother; you can't be picky about your food anymore."

"I understand."

Jiang Xinjie laughed, "Brother Mingxun, please hurry."

"Alright, I'm hanging up."

Li Mingxun put his phone back in his pocket and sat down at the dining table.

His mind was on Jiang Xinjie, he was somewhat distracted and didn't hear Li Yuan speaking to him.

Luo Qianxun discreetly nudged his foot with hers, reminding him, "Grandpa is talking to you."

"Xunxun, are you distracted?"

Li Yuan frowned, "I've been talking to you for a while now and you haven't been responding."

"Oh, it's nothing. Li Family has been quite busy lately; I was thinking about a contract."

Li Mingxun used work as an excuse.

Li Yuan immediately seemed displeased, "Xunxun, Qianxun is pregnant. You should start focusing on her. This is the Li Family's first grandchild; you need to be more considerate."

"I know."

Li Mingxun glanced at Luo Qianxun, signaling that they would be leaving soon.

"Grandpa, I'm feeling a little tired, I want to go home and rest."

Luo Qianxun pretended to yawn, but she genuinely was tired.

She spent so long throwing up in the bathroom earlier and then forced herself to confront Li Mingxun, leaving her feeling weak.

She didn't need to guess who was on the call; it had to be Jiang Xinjie. How else would Li Mingxun speak so softly on the phone?

Jiang Xinjie was urging him to go to the hospital, right? That's why he was so distracted.

Mistresses sure are crafty, unfortunately, as the main wife, she was so humble that she didn't even have the right to get angry.

"Alright, head home. Pregnant women do tend to get sleepy."

Li Yuan nodded and ordered, "Butler, bring some nutritious food suitable for pregnant women to the car."

"Yes, sir."

The butler went into the kitchen to prepare.

"Grandpa, we're heading home now."

Luo Qianxun rose to bid farewell to Li Yuan. This old man had been very kind to her, but right now, she had no choice but to deceive him.

"Let's go."

Li Mingxun led Luo Qianxun to the front door. In Li Yuan's eyes, they seemed like any other loving couple.

The butler filled the car's trunk with plenty of nutritious food. Li Mingxun pursed his lips as he watched.

Luo Qianxun didn't say a word, knowing that these items would be given to Jiang Xinjie.

"Get in the car."

Li Mingxun opened the car door and let Luo Qianxun in.

Once she was seated in the back, she waved at Li Yuan, "Grandpa, you should go inside."

"Qianxun, you take care of yourself now. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

Li Yuan's words caused Luo Qianxun's heart to ache. She wanted to cry, but resisted.

She pursed her lips and nodded. She didn't dare reply, fearing any change in her voice would raise his suspicion.
