Why Couldn't She Do The Same?

After the fire died down everyone began hitting the showers to get all of the lake grossness off of them. Jenna was in the middle of tucking Wesley into his sleeping bag when Bryce came back from his and practically collapsed on her shoulder.

She stopped what she was reading mid-word because that was more dramatic than usual for him. "…are you okay?"

"I barely made it back here. I'm about to pass out," he moaned.

"Then why come to me instead go straight to the air mattress? Passing out there would be more effective."

"Maybe so but right now I need you to be my battery. Don't mind me and finish your story.  I'm just going to sit here until I can muster the will to move."

Jenna snorted. He was so ridiculous. The kayaking must have gotten to him more than he was willing to admit earlier. He had acted like he was fine for hours but apparently he was hanging on by a thread.
