13 If You Still Don’t Listen, I’m Going to Kiss You

"Can you send us a soft copy of the photo?" He Fang asked the chap another question.

The chap took a piece of laminating film as he waited for the photograph. Then, he casually said, "I can't connect to the Internet in this area. There's no way to send it to you."

"I have a flash drive." She took out a small panda flash drive from her little backpack. The connector popped out after she had pressed it lightly.

He froze for a moment. He did not expect He Fang to take out a flash drive and was immediately put in a spot. "Saying that there's no Internet was an excuse. The company doesn't allow us to give out soft copies…"

If they gave out soft copies, who would print the photographs? In this era, physical prints were not as popular as before. Everyone liked to keep copies in their phones so they could see it anytime.

"I've already printed the photo." He Fang pointed at the half-printed photograph that was coming out from the printer.

"If the company discovers it…"

"I'll pay ten dollars more."

He Fang interrupted the chap before he could finish. She reached out and put the little panda on his table.

"Alright then." The chap glanced at the photograph before he glanced over at the little panda. He made a compromise - there was no reason not to earn ten dollars.

He connected the flash drive to the computer. After clicking the mouse a few times, he cut and pasted the photograph into the flash drive. After that, he took the freshly printed picture from the printer and started laminating it. "Thirty for the photograph. Forty in total."

He Fang had already taken out the money. Hearing this, she placed forty dollars on the table and waited quietly for the chap to finish up with the photograph.

"Done." A moment later, the young man handed the photograph and the flash drive over. He Fang took the photograph from him while Qin Guanglin took the little panda and stuffed it into her tiny bag.

After they had left the small wood cottage, He Fang continued holding the photograph, looking at it with joy written all over her face.

Qin Guanglin held her hand and looked around. "Where shall we go next?"

"This is for you." He Fang passed the photograph to him before she pointed in a direction. "Let's go this way."

"Why didn't you ask for two copies?"

Qin Guanglin took the photograph from her and looked at it in detail. It was indeed taken quite well, and he liked it a lot too.

"Why do we need two copies?" He Fang retorted with a question, "Do you want to break up with me?"

"How can that be?" Qin Guanglin did not know what link there was between asking for two photographs and breaking up.

"In that case, one copy is enough." He Fang swung their clasped hands. "Over there. The drop tower ride."

The main attractions in the amusement park were the three rides He Fang had mentioned at the start. The rest were lacking. But even so, Qin Guanglin and He Fang spent nearly two hours trying out most of the rides.

Both held hands and strolled on the path. He Fang still looked very energetic, while Qin Guanglin felt already a little tired after experiencing too much thrill on the rides.

The greenery in the park was very well-designed. They distributed different plants in each zone. He Fang's eyes brightened when she saw the little flower field not far away. She pulled Qin Guanglin with her and walked straight towards the area.

"Come here. Let's take a photo together." She pulled Qin Guanglin in front of the flower field and hooked her arm through his. "Look at the camera."

Qin Guanglin cooperated with her and made a peace sign with his hands. He Fang wrinkled her little nose and looked at him. "I'm going to throw away all of your chequered shirts in the future. They're too old-fashioned."

"How are chequered shirts old-fashioned?" Qin Guanglin was offended. He had taken a long time to choose this shirt.

"The pattern you chose is old-fashioned. The color, too. Look." He Fang showed him the picture she had just taken with her phone. "And your peace sign hand. Who poses like that these days?"

Qin Guanglin looked at it and felt that it was pretty nice. It was definitely not as bad as she said it was. "I think it's alright. What a lively looking chap."

"No way. Let's take it again." He Fang was not satisfied. "Come a bit closer. Yes. Put down your hand, and instead, put your arm behind your back. If not, you can put your arm around me, too."

After taking a photograph, she looked at it again and was still not satisfied. "Let's do it again. Your expression is too serious. Relax a little. Smile. Smile a bit wider."

"I think that's enough. Every shot looks quite nice." Qin Guanglin did not notice any problems after looking in detail at the photograph. Wasn't this photograph pretty good?

"Let's do it again. Your body shouldn't be so stiff. Give me your arm. Why is your arm there? Move it lower. Yes. Don't move." He Fang tapped on her cell phone twice. This time, she was pretty satisfied.

"Are we done? Come on, let's go elsewhere and walk around." Qin Guanglin heaved a sigh of relief.

"Come, stand over here. The photo will come out better like this." He Fang pulled him from her left to her right.

"Stop. That's enough," Qin Guanglin refused. "We haven't explored some areas."

"Quick. Last one," He Fang hastened.

"Let's go." Qin Guanglin pulled her away, thinking only of leaving this place quickly. Had she not taken enough photographs?

"Last one, last one." He Fang pulled him towards her. Seeing that he was still struggling, she immediately glared at him. "If you don't listen, I'm going to kiss you!"

"…"

Qin Guanglin pursed his lips. He really wanted to continue disobeying her so that she would act on the threat, but he felt that would be too deliberate. It would seem as if he intentionally wanted her to kiss him. That would be bad.

After some hesitation, he obediently stood on her right. He cooperated with He Fang as she continued taking photographs.

As expected, women were all liars. She said that it would be the last one, but she took two more before finishing.

"Let's go." She looked at the photographs on her phone happily. Her finger swiped left and right on the screen. "I'm going to set this photograph as my screen wallpaper. Hm… I'll send you this one. Set it as your wallpaper too."

Qin Guanglin's phone binged in his pocket. She had already sent the photograph to him.

"Yes. I'll do that later." Qin Guanglin turned and looked at her phone. Her home screen was a photograph of them both with their heads leaning together. Looking at it, he looked a little silly. No, it was the chequered shirt that looked a bit silly.

"No. Right now. Take your phone out." He Fang disagreed and asked him to do it immediately.

Qin Guanglin had no choice but to take his phone out. As he slowly walked forward, he lowered his head and changed the scenic photograph on his screen to a photo of them both.

"Done." He waved his phone in front of He Fang's eyes before pocketing it and walking forward. "Are you thirsty? Let's go to the resting area in front and buy some drinks."

"Sure." He Fang nodded. Feeling perfectly content, she held his hand and quickened her steps towards the little mushroom-shaped shelter ahead. The resting areas in the amusement park were in the shape of various plants.

"What do you want to drink?" Qin Guanglin looked at the menu and silently bit his tongue. How unethical. One bottle of coke cost six dollars, and one bottle of water cost five dollars. The prices of things in tourist attractions were truly exorbitant.

"This one." He Fang had already taken an apple-flavored yogurt drink from the fridge. She also took a bottle of Haizhiyan and looked at him. "You drink this, right?"

Qin Guanglin nodded his head. There were very few kinds of drinks here. He could only choose between plain water and Haizhiyan, since he did not like carbonated beverages.

They sat at the adjacent table after paying. He Fang had already taken the straw out and poked it into the drink carton. She sipped her drink slowly until she heard the spurting sounds of air flowing into the straw. Then, she put down the empty carton, squinted her eyes, and gently exhaled.

Qin Guanglin looked at the small spot of yogurt left on her bright red lips by the straw and wondered if the yogurt drink tasted better. Then, the pink tip of her tongue popped out and licked the spot, stopping him from looking anymore.
