19.2 First steps

It was Nils' turn to sigh.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's leave it aside for the moment, we'll end up talking to her about it anyway!" Nils agreed, too tired to rack his brain any longer on the subject.

All these sudden events were giving him a headache. He was already feeling overwhelmed by Inja's return to his life, he didn't need to find out that one of his friends was acting suspiciously and wasn't afraid to collude with the mafia to get information. He dismissed the subject, telling himself that he would think about it later.

They finally reached the shop they had been heading towards for a good ten minutes and rubbed their hands together to warm up a bit once inside. With a unanimous movement that reflected an unspoken agreement between them, they headed for the fresh food section and took some pasta carbonara.

"So... Did you see Rau again last night?" Jin continued to ask him casually, too curious to know the end of the story between the two boys.
