My memory and life

"Why did you kiss me?" I asked, feeling the strawberry taste of lipstick on my lips.

Midori looked at me seriously and went silently into the kitchen.

I didn't know if she lived alone or with someone, but I liked her flat. There was just one room that contained both the kitchen and the hall and the bedroom. I liked this big window with a too cozy balcony behind it.

I opened that window and found myself on the balcony, where there were two armchairs and a small coffee table. I sat down in one of the chairs and looked ahead.

There were little houses in front of me with little colourful fences around them. It was as if the world around this house lived by its own rules. I felt as if I had entered another universe. And I loved looking at these colourful roofs and people working in the vegetable garden. I saw an old woman picking potatoes. I saw a little boy playing ball. I saw a cat sleeping in the evening sunlight.
