Ruby Red ~ Twin Wars
Rubie and Redcliffe Lodge are twins. They've always had fights, but they've always made up because they're best friends. But, they have a huge fight the day before they start at Star Academy of dramatic arts, because the two of them want to prove that they're individuals and better off alone, and don't need the other one to be great. So, when they start, they speak to the teachers and get put in different houses and classes.
Rubie becomes popular and makes lots of friends, while Redcliffe makes two friends from the board games club and is ignored by everyone. But they both mourn the loss of their twin. They run into each other in the corridor one day and it's awkward, and both twins end up crying later on that day.
And then they are paired up for a 2-class assignment, performing in a talent show, but a graded one. they're both secretly happy at first, when they realise it means working together to perform, all the feelings of anger they had towards each ither comes back. But what if they're better together, working as a team.
They decide to practice once together, and record it. They both secretly think it sounds great, but are still unsure. Then they have another argument. However, one of Rubie's enemies, Sarah, and her two minions Jain and Clarke, hears them performing and gets jealous. The three of them go out of their way to make Rubie & Redcliffe get injured or angry so they won't perform, going even to the extent of breaking a kidnapper/killer out of prison to help them.
But will it work out? Or will Rubie and Redcliffe realise they're better together and win the talent show assignment.
