"I'm not seeing anyone else. I'm sorry; I didn't realize things were moving too slowly for you. I've never done this before," Cody said truthfully.

Karli's disbelief was written all over her face. "Seriously?! Why didn't you say so?"

"I didn't think it was relevant."

"Huh. And here I thought you weren't that interested but you did put a fair amount of effort into our date today so I wasn't sure what to think after that. You never kissed me first either so…do you like me or not?"

Cody didn't like her but it was true that he disliked her less than he did most people. That had to count for something, right?

"I wouldn't spent time with you if I didn't like you."

"Fair point," she mused. "Well, I like you too so now what? Do we make it official or stay in dating limbo forever?"
