~ Third Person's Point of View ~
Valmer was grinning loudly as he wins the first round. He was holding his favourite billiard stick, leaning on the wall behind him.
He said, "Until now, I am undefeatable!"
Everyone in the underground burst into laughter. One of them replied, "Billiards– you are the King. Vampire's Kingdom– You are the second placer! Ha ha ha!"
The rest of the vampires growled and clapped their hands. They cheered and teased Valmer until he abruptly standing in front of the brave man.
Everyone was fooling around. Telling jokes while playing billiards but, Valmer misunderstood the man who was seating on the bench.
"What did you say?" Palmer asked him, moving his face– closer and closer.
Instead of getting insulted and frightened, the man touched his chest and said. "Easy man, I was just making fun of it! You know me very well."
"F*ck you!"
The angriness urged him to push the man.
It wasn't too powerful, but it caused the man to fall down to the ground.
"What's wrong with you?! I've told you that I was just ribbing around!"
All of them were vampires.
Too fast to run.
Too powerful when they transformed and shows their fangs.
Valmer was glaring at him, as he's turned have turned to red. He was breathing heavily, preparing himself to bite the man when one of them went into the middle and tried to calm their down.
"Man, calm down, please. We came here to have fun while waiting for the nightfall. Come on, Valmer! It's not the right time to be a short-tempered vampire."
"You still owe me, man!" Valmer said as he angrily walked out from the room.
He wanted to be alone.
He wanted to unwind.
He wanted to accept the truth that he wasn't chosen as the heir to the throne.
Valmer couldn't understand why does Jack become the Vampire King. He was too vulnerable, easy go lucky and have no direction in life.
"Damn it! Damn it!"
He blurted, covering his face with his bare hands.
"Valmer,"
"Why are you here? I've told you to stop disturbing me all over again!"
She was standing right behind of the furious man. Looking at somewhere distant and far.
He seemed formidable, wasted and miserable. "I... I'm sorry, but I came for some reason." She said.
Valmer didn't try to catch a sight of her. He has no choice but to hear the woman. Thinking that it was the best way for her to let him be.
She knew that he never wanted another woman. She knew that Valmer have already a woman in his heart, that is she have to let go of her feelings.
"I need to be free, Valmer. I came here to hear you, rejecting me not as a friend but as a woman who's secretly loving you."
"What are you saying, Anastasia? I've been rejecting you since I caught you, kissing my old photographs in my bedroom." He coldly said.
Anastasia smiled genuinely upon remembering it. He was right, kissing his old picture was too odd and scaring.
She walked closer to him and replied, "Tell me that you don't move me. Tell that you will never fall in a woman like me. Tell me that you don't need me. Just tell me, Valmer."
"I don't like you! I don't want to see your face right in front of me! And I will never fall in love with a helpless woman like you!"
She gave him an abrupt, bitter laugh. It was painful. It was certainly unbearable.
Thalia stooped towards him and tried to catch his gaze. She said, "I want you to tell me directly to my eyes. It's my last wish, Valmer. Please, grant it."
Her eyes were saying what she feels. It was too dreadful. Embroidered with grief and rejection, yet she has contrived to smile sweetly.
Valmer madly granted her last wish. He took a heavy breath, starting at Anastasia's bluish eyes.
"I... I... I'm sorry Anastasia, but I love someone else."
"That's it! I've been waiting for this moment, and now I am finally free! I must thank you for being true."
"You must be crying right now and begging me to love you. But, I am glad that you didn't do such a horrible thing!"
Thalia laughed bitterly, concealing the pain within her chest. She replied, "I thought the same way. Though, it will make no sense and change the truth at all. So, I shall go now."
"It would be my pleasure to be alone."
Anastasia turned her back, looking at the opposite direction. "You are too candid and outspoken!"
Both of them were in the hallway. Looking and staring at the peaceful place as the other vampires vanished instantly upon seeing Valmer.
He didn't answer back.
Anastasia took a long sigh as she was about to leave. But she saw a silhouette of a man from afar.
She widened her eyes when she finally recognized the man's features and stance. "Gray? Gray? Is that you?!"
Her voice echoed around the hallway.
Thalia looked back at Valmer and whispered, "For me, you are the real Vampire King." As she runs towards the man standing with a warm smile on his face.
"Ohh! I've been waiting for you since last night! I thought you will see me in our favourite spot, but you slept the entire night!"
Thalia slightly punched his hard chest. She was pouting which makes her more beautiful and enthralling.
The man voraciously laughed at her and said, "Alright Anastasia, that's why I came here to repay you. Of course, I don't want to saunter at night thinking about the woman named Anastasia!"
Gray's voice was loud.
Anyone could hear them talking, laughing and mocking.
All out a sudden, Valmer felt annoyed and galled.
He tried to calm down but the fire within became warmer and warmer.
"Let's play billiards inside! I'm sure, I'll win this time!" The tall, masculine man named Gray said.
He was handsome too. Having a good posture and body gave him a perfect look of a man.
His eyes were blue as it reflects his unique beauty.
"Let's go!" Anastasia replied, holding Gray's arm.
However, Valmer knows that he was one of Anastasia's friends. All over the palace, she's well known for having a peculiar beauty and she possesses the power of the mind.
Valmer said, "I thought she can read my mind too. Good thing that she didn't touch my hand earlier!"
He sighed deeply in relief and walked back to see the Vampire King.
