I don't understand why I ended up in the woods. As far as I know, the Queen stabbed me to death at the wide battlefield.
I roamed around the forest but I didn't saw anyone.
"Why I even here? Father needs me in the palace!" I said out of my anger.
I was about to search for the way out of the wilderness when I heard a frightening growl. It was nearby.
The horrifying sound propelled me to stepped backwards, scared and afraid.
Until I saw someone approaching. I quickly look for a tree to hide at and watch on the intriguing man.
He was tall and handsome. But I felt nervous and confused upon looking at his fair white skin. "He looks like a Vampire." I murmured.
The man was wearing a raven upper garment and trousers. His lips were pale too as the light coming from the moon touches his face.
Without him knowing, I prowled enough and follow where he was heading to.
As closer as I get, I heard loud voices and laughter.
I narrowed my eyes upon knowing that my clothes changed into a black sleeve and pants. Including my shoes.
"What is happening! Even my clothes have changed into something that I don't wear in my entire life!"
I almost forgot that I was following the Vampire like a man. But, he abruptly looked behind, good thing I run faster to hide in the grass.
"Huh! That was too close!" I took a long sigh as I'm safe enough.
I slowly look at the man's back, trying to see the path he was taking into.
The man quickly walked through the dark path without struggling too much. I know it's too impossible to catch a glimpse of a vampire these days, but, I've seen him walk like a creature who possesses the power.
I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thought that he was really a vampire.
Slowly and surely, I followed him without making superfluous noise. I must see where he's heading to, at least I have someone to ask to.
As I'm getting closer to the place, I felt nervous and afraid.
I don't know why but the feeling within me seems like a stranger. A feeling that I've never felt before in the palace.
As I kept on walking, I forgot to remember the path. It was too dark and there were grasses on the both side.
Unexpectedly, the man stopped at the wide, crowded open field.
I was surprised and amazed upon catching sight of the crowded opened meadow. "Wow! There is a Kingdom, too!"
With a wide smile on my face, I exclaimed.
I couldn't believe that there's a kingdom in the middle of the woods. I thought it wouldn't be seen in the forest as wild animals sauntering around, especially at night.
With all the strength I have, I breathed deeply and get out from the tree where I hid at.
Everything was visible from here. I tried to find the man who brought me here, but I couldn't find him anymore.
"Huh! I must go to the field. They seem to have fun under the fascinating moon! They won't notice me as they are all laughing and talking with each other." I said while earning enough courage to go out.
From the tree where I stand, there was a man who caught my attention.
He was wearing a ruddy simple shirt and a trouser. His emerald eyes were filled with warmth and passion. But, I was ensnared by his crimson lips.
He was talking with a girl who's wearing a black sleeve. Until he gave her a warm and genuine smile that made me frown.
"Tss. Why would he smile to a girl who looked like a witch because of her sullen eyes!"
I've never known that I was stomping my feet into the ground. I felt lost and irritated without knowing the reason behind it.
I looked up above the sky, and head held high.
Chest out, stomach in.
I did it as I walked closer to the crowd. Walking like a Phoenix Princess as all the eyes on me.
I am confident that I'm blessed with a beautiful and adorable face. Every man who will glance at me will be forever hypnotised.
I was about to take another step when I saw the man earlier. He looked at me as if he knew me since then until he winked and lick his lips.
"Valmer!"
A beautiful and sweet voice echoed around the field.
I looked back and there's a woman smiling sweetly, wearing a red sleeve.
"Emilia! I've been looking for you since everyone gathered here!" The man named Valmer replied to Emilia.
I don't know what to do. If I dwell at my position, they would pass before me. They will notice me with no doubt.
However, I was left dumbfounded when Valmer magically appeared in front of me. He was glaring and smiling widely until I felt someone's warm hand grabbed my arm.
I've almost forgotten to breathe and collapse. As I don't know what to say into a person who will ask me about.
I was gasping and panting while letting a stranger pulling me into a place that I don't familiar with.
He was tall, and he smelled so fragrant like I want to stay beside him for the entire night.
"You're always late," He said.
I remained quiet as I'm not sure if he was talking to me. I was breathing deeply when the man suddenly stopped pulling me.
His broad shoulder was shown as he stands tall.
"You're late."
His voice changed into something deep and husky. And I don't get it why would he hold my arm tightly. As if he's afraid of letting go of me.
I looked around as I know he wasn't talking to me. Still, it's hard to move as he was grasping my arm tightly.
"Thalia!" He said.
Because of what I've heard, it made me looked at the man before me. I was alarmed and disturbed by the name he uttered.
"Pa–pardon?!"
I stuttered upon asking him.
I couldn't either believe that the man with an emerald eye will be the man who saved me in a circumstance that I don't know how to handle with.
He slowly let go of my hand without looking away. He was breathing heavily as he stooped closer to me.
"You're acting strange lately. I've been waiting for you at your favourite tree but, as always, you kept me wait." He said.
But how would I do that?
The moment that I dropped the sword into the ground, I knew it was my fate. And... And I don't even know his name.
I was gaping.
Thinking what to answer back.
The longer it takes, the more he walks closer. I've found it intimidating, as no one attempted to do it to a Princess like me.
"I... I don't know what you are talking about?! I... don't even know who you are! I don't even know where I am and you abruptly grabbed my arm out of that place!"
My voice raised up. It was not my intention but, I need to know the truth.
I turned my back on him, "Tell me your name."
I was waiting for his reply but he burst into a loud laughter.
"You're really acting strange, Thalia! Why would you forget my name? As I am your biggest and true friend." He said.
Abruptly, I felt his warm palm touching my shoulder. I wanted to push him away but there's something poking me not to do so.
"I am not fooling you! What is your name, Mister?"
"Drake. I am Drake, Thalia. Why would you for–"
I turned my back to face him. Without his approval, I put my finger into his lips– halting him from talking.
He looked at me with a surprised and amazed expression. "Stop it, Thalia! You're making me... You're making me... Ugggh!"
All out of a sudden, Drake looked away and walked towards the cliff.
If I am not mistaken, I just his face turned scarlet and he stuttered while speaking.
I felt guilty and incapable. He might get mad as I forgot his name. "Mister Drake, I am sorry for not recognizing you. But, I'm telling you the truth that I am a Prin–"
"You don't have to explain. I know that we're not meant for each other."
He picked up some stones and thrown it into nowhere. Drake seemed to be unhappy and miserable.
Yet, I don't get what he wanted to say. "I... I am about to marry a Prince, Mister. But, a bloody war came which leads me to de–"
"I knew it. I saw it. I was there when you fight with one of my allies." Drake told me. His eyes telling me that he was there. "When I saw you from the high cliff, falling to the ground. I wanted to save you but I have no choice. I will be lost everything that I have, including you Thalia."
I swallowed my pride while listening to him. I have a bad feeling that I've risen from being dead.
"Perhaps, you are referring to someone you knew very well. But I am not her, Mister Drake." I said and began to walk away from him.
