Mj's POV
"Hmmm.. Hmmm." I started humming in the wind while listening to my favorite music. Kasalukuyan akong nasa garden ng university na pinapasukan ko at free time ko ngayon. In case hindi niyo alam, I'm MJ Lewis, 22 years old at nag-aaral sa unibersidad na ito. Yan lang masasabi ko. Friends? I do have. But it doesn't exceeded 3. Kung bakit? You don't have to know.
Education course ang kinukuha ko kasi mahilig ako sa mga bata and I find it challenging to educate young ones. Parang ang ganda lang kasing experience na you're molding and honing a child's growth and filled him with the knowledge he and she deserve. Furthermore, help them climb the giant ladder of their dreams. Ganyan ang impact ng bata at ng pagiging guro saakin.

I started to sing a few lines of my favorite song when someone disrupt the silence..
"If you want to sing, just sing as if no one's listening to you. Sing your heart out, and another thing is, dapat mong irelax yung sarili mo bago mo kantahin ang pinakaunang nota ng kanta.."
Someone muttered but I heard it because I was blessed with a very good ear in hearing.
Hindi pa man din ako nakapagsalita sa mga sinabi niya saakin ay bigla na lang siyang umalis. Naiwan ako na malalim na nag-iisip.

Hence, the intruder faded as he stepped away from me.
I left out a heavy sigh and decided to get up. There's no reason of staying here. I'm filled with so much loneliness that even my family and friends couldn't do anything to cover it. He was left me here alone, but he took my heart that serves as the melody of my untuned melody.
Since it's almost time for my next subject, dumiretso na lang ako sa room. From there, I saw my bestfriend waving at me smiling from ear to ear but I remained emotionless. Her name is Carla.
"Where have you been? Akala ko kung napa'no ka na!" She said panicky. I just shrugged my shoulders and pumasok na sa loob ng classroom at umupo na. I heard her sigh, and she didn't say anything at umupo na lang din. Hindi pa man din kami nakakatagal sa pag-uupo nang bigla siyang magsalita,
"Alam mo bang may kaklase daw tayong bago ngayon? According sa mga naririnig ko, hearthrob daw and band vocalist dito sa university! Ang sabi rin, ang gwapo daw!" She said in a very high pitched tone.
"Whoever that person is, I don't care." I said sounding bored.
"You know what, why don't you try to add some emotions in your words kahit minsan lang? Minsan iniisip ko na nakakatakot ka pero dahil maganda ako, iniignore ko na lang hahahaha" She laughed.
"Is that a joke? Cause it isn't funny." I said bluntly.
"Tsk. Sabi ko nga. " And finally, tumahimik na rin siya. I was about to write something on my notebook when someone entered the room and got my attention.
The guy I met earlier sa may garden. So we're on the same class, uh? Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at nagsulat na lang sa may notebook ko. And dumating na rin ang professor namin sa Mapeh 122.
"Good morning class, I'm so sorry but something came up and it's urgent. So for now, I'll assign all of you to choose a song that you will be going to perform in the next meeting. So that's all. You're dismissed."
As anticipated, they are very happy na walang klase.
"May napili ka na bang kanta na ipeperform mo?" Carla asked. Napailing naman ako indicating "No/None" as an answer.
"Don't tell me hindi ka kakanta?!" She said unbelievable.
"And so? Hindi ako kumakanta." Pero parang hindi siya naniniwala sa sinabi ko.
"Let me rephrase that, hindi ka NA kumakanta. Magkaiba yun best! Kaya go na, kumanta ka na!" She said having high hopes na makukumbinsi niya ako.
"Sorry but no. I'm not going to sing." Tumayo na ako and I decided to go home na lang since wala na akong planong umattend pa ng afternoon classes ko.
"I'm going home. So see you tomorrow." I said.
"But --- Okay fine. Take care best!" Sabi niya na lang.
For your information, I love my bestfriend, its just that, nasanay na ako sa ganitong pakikitungo ko sa kanya, ganoon rin naman siya siguro nasanay na lang din.
Nakauwi na ako at pumasok sa kwarto ko at humiga. It's been 14 years since nung insidenteng yun. Pero parang kahapon lang nangyari.
It's been 14 years since I decided not to ever sing again in front of them. 14 years ago nung iniwan niya ako and took the tune of my melody with him.
Kaya hinding-hindi na ako kakanta pa sa harap ng mga tao.
Never again.
