Sixteen billion years ago. Year 2035 A.D. Manila, Philippines. A story was set in motion...

"My name is Kate. Currently an average girl.. but not for long! Probably in about four years or more, not that long."

"Because I will be successful in the future after I graduate in highschool and college. That is why I'm trying to enroll in the most prestigious university in this country, the God's University."

"Well, I barely passed the requirements to enter. I'm just waiting for an official confirmation if I am accepted from one of the bulletin boards of this big campus."

One of the requirements was to have atleast 93 in final grade from the last school-year, and her lowest grade was 95. "Barely passed" wasn't the right term for that, she's just humble.

A pretty boy asked her: "Have you seen your name in the list?"

Kate: "Let's see.. Hmm... Ah! It's here! Mand, I passed!"

Armand, her childhood friend who's been with her since they were just a kid.

Armand: "I'm not surprised. Congrats!"

Kate: "How about you? Have you seen your name?"

Armand: "Hehe, Ya bet I did! And we're on the same class too!"

Kate: "Thank God. Let's celebrate! I'll treat you to a meal."

Armand: "Thanks but I can pay for myself."

They went to a popular fast food restaurant, JABI.

Kate: "I'll go find a table for us."

Armand: "What's your order?"

Kate: "Spaghetti."

Armand: "Alright."

He fell in a line to the counter to give their orders. It took some time because it's crowded.

After ordering, they waited for their meal in a table for two, facing each other.

Random dude: "Tsk.. These couples..!" He said as he glares at them with hatred while passing by.

Armand thought: "Wow. That instantly made this situation pretty awkward. Though she acts like it's nothing. Wait, does this mean I'm friendzoned already?!"

Kate looks back at him and smiles, then continues to mind her business like she didn't care.

Armand felt like he's being stabbed: "That's.. cruel.. Is she really this cold or she's just really dense?"

She's really just that dense.

They finished their meal. Being tired and all, they're heading back to their own homes.

Kate waved goodbye: "See ya!"

Armand waved back and left.

After they go home, they immediately went to sleep.

The rest of her summer days pass by until the day arrived, the first day of class.

The campus is really vast so Armand and Kate were worried of getting lost.

The entrance of the gate, where they are, is also pretty crowded.

All of these became variables that results to Kate getting dizzy. Faster breathing due to nervousness, and lack of air to breath to due to the crowd.

Armand: "Hey, are you okay?"

Kate was about to pass out when suddenly, a beautiful man asked them: "Is she alright?"

Her legs then gave up but the man quickly catched her before falling and carried her on his back to somewhere with less people.

He put her down on a bench.

Armand took his notebook and used it as a fan for her.

Her breathing returns to normal.

Kate: "Thank you. What is your name?"

The guy: "My name is Rin."

Kate: "I will make sure to pay you back one day."

Rin: "You dont have to. What's important is that you're fine." He said as he smiles.

Kate became flustered.

Armand got jealous. He felt like he was crushed by a boulder or something. He died.. on the inside.

Armand: "Excuse me for asking. Do you know where is the classroom for Grade 10 section 1?"

Rin: "Oh.. I think it was on that building, somewhere in the second floor."

Armand: "Thanks. We'll be on our way."

Rin: "Alright. Take care."

Both of them left.

Armand thought: "Why do I feel like that guy is up to no good?"

Felix: "Dude, I was looking for you! I just looked away for a second and you were gone!"

Rin laughed: "Sorry, dude. It was nothing. Should we head to the classroom?"

Felix: "Aight. Next time, tell me if you need to go. You've scared me to death!"

Rin continues laughing: "You're just overreacting."

They went to the same direction.

Armand: "Our classroom must be here somewhere in second floor."

Kate: "Oh my. Climbing the stairs is exhausting."

Armand: "Are you okay?"

Kate: "Don't worry."

They searched for the classroom.

Armand: "Ah, this is it."

They open the door and entered.

Armand: "So it was just like what is said on the bulletin board before. There are really just 14 students in section 1 as we can see in the number of seats. I was expecting there are more students from the different batches of applicants, but it looks like that was all of it. Despite the tens of thousands of people trying to enroll in this university, this seems too few."

"If we compare the difference in population, there are actually more students in other sections. Section 2 has 31 students, while Section 3 has 23 students. The sections probably isn't based on student count but on grade ranking. Still, only 68 students in one grade level? The number's too little."

Kate: "I've heard that everything this campus has to offer, like supplies, food, or services, are free to all students. So if that's the reason why they only accept few students, it's very reasonable."

Armand: "Did I heard that right? Everything is free?"

Kate: "I'm sure of it, it's one of the main reasons why I enrolled here."

There are currently 11 students in the room that are waiting for the last 3 students to reveal themselves.

A lone man entered. He has brownish skin with curly short hair, wearing a pair of glasses.

He sat down quietly, as to not attract more attention.

The silence was then broken by a noisy guy approaching from a distance. His loud and unrestrained voice slowly gets louder and louder, it was annoying.

The noisy guy has a straight short blonde hair. His appearance is already attention-grabbing. Paired with an energetic personality, it's hard not to notice him.

This noisy blondie is Felix.

Beside him is a familiar tall man, Rin.

One of the girl's: "Who is that hottie?"

Kate: "Isn't that?"

Armand: "What are the odds?"

Rin stared back at Kate and smiled.

Most of the girls squealed.

Kate simply gets flustered again.

One of the boys: "What's this? There are couples in here already?"

Felix: "Girls, girls. Calm down, I'm not going anywhere."

The girls: "...."

Those words immediately puts Felix in the outcast status, decided by the majority of the class in their own thoughts alone. No prior discussion was held yet but they agree to it already.

They sat both down while Felix continues to wink at each girl.

This is the moment Kate realized that this school-year will be much more livelier that she intended it to be.
