Chapter 20

Grace's Point Of View,

"Mom, dinner is so yummy", I said and licked my lips. And Anna also nodded her head by licking her lips.

"Yes, mom it is so yummy. Thank you for dinner". She said and mom passed a smile to her softly. We all had dinner and sat in the living room. Dad went to his room for changing his clothes after that. Usually, he changes it before dinner, but today he just eats before changing because today was so special.

"Girls, do you want anything", mom asked us and I just looked at Anna and she slowly whispered ice cream as she still feels a little hesitant.

"Mom, I want ice cream", I said and mom nodded her head and headed towards the kitchen to take it. Anna smiled at me and I smiled back, I am so happy that she trusts me unlike me. I could not trust anyone when I came here. After some minutes dad came and joined us.

"What are you talking girls", dad asked and I smiled to see him this comfortable with us.

"We are eating ice cream. Would you like to eat dad", I asked him and he nodded his head. I have never seen him eating ice cream before this.

"Of course, my daughter is asking me, how can I say no", he said and my eyes got wide to hear him. Dad never likes ice cream, but today he is eating it for me or maybe for Anna.

I am so happy that they love me so much and now we have Anna too. There is nothing left I could ask for.

Mom brought ice cream for all of us and we sat like a perfect family. I started a cartoon movie that I used to watch when I was a kid maybe. We all laughed a lot, it was an Angry birds movie and we all loved it a lot. We were watching a movie just then I realize that mom was crying and my heart just ached to see her like that.

"Hey, mom, what happened? Why are you crying", I asked her and she just shook her head slowly like she wanted to hide it.

"Dad, see mom is crying", I said and dad quickly turned his head to see mom as he got so worried. He wrapped his arms around mom, and she even started crying more than before.

Anna was just looking at them as she got confused about what happened all of the sudden. And I do not want her to cry again so I just tapped her shoulder and gave a signal not to cry so she slowly forced a smile and nodded her head.

"I am so sorry guys. I just ruined a perfect evening. I just got a little emotional all of the sudden. I am just so happy and it is too much. I just can not express how I am feeling. It is all looking like a dream for me. I waited for this moment for years and now I am having the most beautiful daughters in the world. So I just felt a little overwhelmed", said mom, and my dad wiped her tears softly.

I saw dad's eyes also got wet after this.
