He slowly turned around again and before walking away, Itachi looked at Crouch over his shoulder, "It is not wise to judge others based on your own perceptions and by their appearances." And with that, he started to walk away. Steps, unfortunately, followed him.
Empty.
That was the only thing he was feeling.
He was going through the motions, making his notes in the class. But he wasn't really there. He felt as if he wasn't really there, as if he was seeing this from a third point of view.
It was like this for the last two days. He didn't want to make anyone suspicious. It also helped that the original owner of this body was a loner.
Well.
Almost.
He looked to his side, watching a young teen seemingly taking notes with a bored look on his face. His hair was sandy and his eyes cerulean.
The teen seemed to sense his look as he looked up from his notes and met his gaze. He gave him a small smirk.
Itachi ignored that smirk and looked away. Didn't want to talk to him at all.
"Oh? Are you ignoring me again, Bones?" Itachi sensed the amusement in his voice. "I almost thought we were getting somewhere here.." He chuckled at the end. Not seeming offended in any way.
Itachi didn't even look at him. All he heard was that idiotic name. Name he has been hearing over the past two days numerous times.
Edgar Bones
The memories also didn't help.
They would come and go as distant echoes. Voices here. Colors there.
He was still trying to process his.. death. Being stuck in that void. With only his memories and regrets. He could hear them even now. His father. His mother. His brother. The clan. The Village.
But, he could also hear different voices, different people. People he didn't know, yet he knew them too much.
His mind wasn't completely lost yet. He knew what was happening, Edgar's memories and his were merging. It was torture.
He wasn't even in his world, he knew that. Completely lost, without purpose.
Thoughts of killing himself came to him here and there. But, he couldn't do it. When he thought about it, he saw the faces of his family, so happy and yet sad. He couldn't do it. He couldn't take the easy way out.
In the void, it seemed as if all his failures were always on repeat. He couldn't properly think of them, to try to do anything, however small.
But, in this world. He could see it all clearly, almost as if he could breathe again. Being able to actually think and not just suffer was a relief, even if it sounded pathetic as he knew he deserved worse.
So he went through the motions.
Not knowing what to do.
He looked down at his notes, idly wondering how he managed to almost have a mental breakdown, but still keep taking his notes.
A loud bell sounded, indicating the end of the lesson. The ghost in the front didn't seem to even hear it as he continued in his rambling about Goblin wars.
Bins
He was an eyesore.
Itachi scoffed at his words and started to slowly pack his things. As he was doing this, he felt his wand in his holster on his right hand. It was a weird feeling. But it also gave him a safe feeling. It was foreign. He ignored it.
He picked up his bag and stood up.
When he turned around he was met with sandy hair and cerulean eyes on a fair-skinned teen.
Crouch
The shorter teen before him gave him a smirk and stood there. The students around them slowly going out of the classroom.
Itachi ignored him and started to walk away from the classroom, slightly frowning when he heard steps following him.
He simply walked out. Not giving any of the classmates a look. Not that they cared, probably. He didn't care.
The steps were still following him, as was the norm for the last two days.
Itachi suddenly stopped and turned around.
The shorter teen before him was still smirking.
Itachi used an advantage that he didn't possess before. That was his current tall stature, to look down at him.
Crouch didn't seem intimidated at all, but Itachi also saw the way his body seemed to get tense and also the way his eyes suddenly became much more focused. But he still retained his smirk.
Itachi was looking into his eyes as he spoke,
"Do you need something?"
His voice, while still boyish, seemed deep for his age.
"Nothing at all, Bones."
Crouch replied nonchalantly, seemingly looking at his nails.
"Then, why are you following me for the last two days?"
His voice was cold.
"You seem interesting."
He replied with an amused tone.
"I am not your entertainment."
"You could be."
"This conversation leads to nowhere."
Itachi sighed a little at the end. He was annoyed. He just wanted to suffer in peace. Not be bothered by this idiot.
Crouch, of course, gave Itachi a smirk.
Itachi grabbed him by his throat and slammed him into the nearest castle wall. An unknown instinct, made him point his wand at his throat almost immediately.
Crouch seemed surprised and didn't put up much of a fight. He wasn't even struggling now. Just looking at him. His body was still tense, maybe even more than before, but his eyes weren't scared. They were watching him, something cold in them. Itachi didn't like that look.
"Answer my question." His voice was cold yet almost polite.
"You are different." Crouch completely ignored him and continued to look at him. His eyes were still cold.
Itachi's hand on his throat got tighter.
"You weren't like this. You were always alone, yes, but in an almost sad way. You didn't have any sort of presence. You seemed mediocre. You didn't carry yourself with any sort of strength that you are carrying yourself with now. What happened to you, Edgar Bones?"
Crouch almost couldn't get his words out at the end, as Itachi's hand was almost choking him.
Crouch still didn't fight back.
Itachi slowly released him and stared at him. Maybe some memory charms? He would probably damage Crouch's mind, but he needed him off his tail.
Killing him was a possibility but too messy. He was also still a child.
Itachi slowly tilted his head at Crouch.
"I don't know what you are talking about, what do you want?" His voice was detached.
"I just want to follow you and see what you get up to. You seem interesting," he said with his trademark smirk.
Itachi gave him a long look. Not having his Sharingan meant he wasn't as observant as he was before, but he could see it.
Crouch was somewhat deranged, not right in the head. It would probably be better for him to keep him close if he can't get rid of him right now.
He slowly turned around again and before walking away, Itachi looked at Crouch over his shoulder,
"It is not wise to judge others based on your own perceptions and by their appearances."
And with that, he started to walk away.
Steps, unfortunately, followed him.
