A brown day

Sora sneaked by drowsy guards chatting between each other, nagging himself entire keyring lying freely on an empty prison guard chair. Even for his tastes, two samurais were criminally incompetent at their job. Infiltrating the prison through the night was just too easy!

Without any patrol in his sight, the young man was allowed a free passage along the underground corridors. Sora checked each cell, but even after one hour and opening all of them, he couldn't find the arrested Uchiha. He stood in front of nicely ornamented wooden doors.

'Aren't these doors the same as from Furido-sama's private bathroom? What are they doing here? Is that a janitor's room?' Without a keyhole and the doors tightly closed, Sora was forced to knock. His rapping echoed loudly through the corridor, making him cower in fear.

Two minutes later, bummed out because of his failure, Sora turned on his heel, looked around, and planned his exit. Before he took his first step, the lock in the doors clicked from inside the room. A tall, brown-haired man was looking down at him.

"What do you want, boy? It's 4 a.m." he felt the man's brown eyes piercing his soul, torn between considering him an enemy or not.

"Uh, I'm sorry, it seems I knocked on the wrong doors."

"Haah... You just broke into a prison and banged on the wrong doors?"

"I-... Yes?" Sora gave an uncertain answer.

"Utakata, stop torturing our guest. Let him in." A female's voice came from inside the room.

Utakata took a step outside and scanned the corridor. Finding no other person around, he pulled Sora into Kaname's cell.

The grey-haired young man's eyes were instantly blinded by dozens of candles burning brightly in the room. Not expecting one, his foot slipped on the carpet, Sora's face landed into a soft rug.

"Hahaha, be more careful, Utakata. He must have spent an hour or two looking for me."

"No. I won't take it easy on them, not after these assholes arrested you, Kana-chan."

Kaname shrugged her shoulders, "So, boy, why were you looking for me?"

Sora's sight slowly recovered. On the bed in front of him sat a beautiful woman, just slightly older than him, her body wrapped only by a dark-red satin bathrobe.

"Uhh..." Sora tore his gaze away, and with bright red cheeks, he mumbled his mantra.

"You okay there?" her eyebrow jumped up in concern.

"G-get dressed! You're... distracting."

Kaname examined her body, looking for anything peeking around her robe. Without finding a fault, she turned to Utakata with questions written on her face.

"A young monk in training. His celibate education must have kicked in a little bit too hard? I think?" Utakata tried to guess the reason for the boy's embarrassment.

"Just cover yourself with the bedsheets or something!"

"Nope~, it's too hot under those." She hummed in reply. "You're the one that entered my room in the middle of the night. What did you expect, boy?"

"That's not how a proper lady should act!" Sora yelled out in anger.

"Add it to the accusations, boy. The list is going to get longer after today." She smirked.

"Wha-!?" He turned back to Kaname, flushing even deeper red at the beautiful female Sora swerved his sight back at the carpet, hiding the face with the right, bandaged arm. "What do you mean? What have you done?"

"Now, it's only a prank. By the end of the day, Daimyo himself will beg me to leave the Fire City. It might be a first for the nobles, but those morons need to be aware that every action will be met with reaction. I will teach them that. So watch and learn, boy."

"Don't call me that! My name is Sora."

"Hmm, you have an interesting chakra. I feel a second source of it inside your body." He felt bright red eyes spear through his body, "Especially focused in your right hand there."

"Uh..." Sora hid his hand behind his back.

"As I thought, you noticed it as well, Kana-chan."

"You wouldn't let someone dull into my room, Utakata. Sora-chan, I would say you're Kyūbi's jinchūriki if I didn't know better, care to elaborate?"

"I-I don't know what you're talking about?"

"Okay, another mystery solved. I'm getting good at it. Just FYI, my little brother and soon-to-be husband are the real jinchūrikis. Most likely, you were deemed repulsive or disgusting by your peers your entire life, but I'm not someone that will abandon a child whatever he has sealed inside of him. I got used to Kyūbi's chakra, you're either controlling it very well, or those tiny traces of fox's chakra you have in your body are all that you have in common with Naru-chan."

"I-... No, it's not about me! I came here to help you, Kaname-san."

"Help me? Well, then tell me, why should I put my trust in you? Blindly putting my faith in a stranger came back to bite me in the ass already. What's your relation with that Furido-baka?"

"...he is my master..." Sora lowered his head but replied truthfully.

"Hahaha! Yeah, you really wouldn't let a dull person into our room, huh, Utakata?"

"Seems like it. Okay, Sora-kun, if you want to help us, then find Chiriku-san. Ask him to come to meet us today. You're a monk - you know your way around Fire Temple."

"It was abandoned for several years already. And what about the guards? They won't let Chiriku-sama just walk past."

"Heh, prison guards are indisposed at the moment. Kana-chan made sure of that. Do you believe yourself to be that sneaky to get around several guards without being seen, Sora-kun?"

"I thought they were just drunk?"

"Nope. After I learned of your master's connection with Akatsuki and Root, I had to make sure that every guard was under my control." the woman's melodious voice sounded to his side. "Basically, the prison became my playground."

"You're still a prisoner - I wanted to help you."

"Hahaha. You don't need to help me, Sora-chan. You know what, you're smarter than your teacher, so I'll give you a heads-up. Eat outside today. It's going to be a... brown day for the palace. I need to rest, see you, Sora-chan."

"... Goodbye."

Utakata sat on the bed when the doors closed after the grey-haired boy, "You need to rest, Kana-chan. You didn't sleep all night. And, I'm sorry."

"What the heck, Utakata? He was just a boy. Where did all this hostility come from?"

"I- Well, around you, my brain just stops functioning, okay? Especially now that those nobles imprisoned you."

"Hmm." Kaname straddled him.

"Wait- Y-you need to sleep."

"I slept all day. I have a better idea now."

------

"Furido-sama."

Someone shook his shoulder. 'Wha-? What's going on?' Slowly opening his eyes, Furido's drowsy mind noticed his room was still enveloped in darkness. "Who?"

One of the palace's guards stood above him.

"Are you out of your mind?! Why did you wake me up? What's the time?"

"It's five, Furido-sama."

"Motherfu- The reason for this?!"

"... I was ordered to wake you up."

'Daimyo wouldn't move without my word!' Furido rubbed the sleepiness off his face, "Ordered? By whom?!"

"..." The samurai kept silent.

The old man felt his bowels dance in distress, "Ughh!" barely holding back the brown digger, he jumped out of his bed and ran towards the privy.

Furido bounced off the doors to his toilet. "What?! These... these are cell doors!" He took hold of the handle and pulled brutally on it, but they stood rooted.

"They're closed, Furido-sama." the guard replied emotionlessly.

"You fucking idiot! Go get the key to Kaname's cell doors!" he yelled at the man under genjutsu, "NOW!"

The samurai slowly walked out of the room.

"FUUUCK!" He couldn't hold out for long. Furido leaped out of his room, running towards the common's toilet. His salvation was blocked, dozens of other people crowded the corridors, everyone trying to get to the same place, 'Did she add laxative to yesterday's food?! OH-oh SHIIIII-'

"Mom!"

"Don't complain, Little Butterfly. I'll not rest until I find the perfect one! Now try the one Anko chosen for you!" The woman ordered.

"It's well... In Anko-chan's style, mom. It's suitable only for the after night."

"Nyahaha, that's why I pointed it out, Kana-chan!" Her childhood friend laughed out.

"I see. Kurenai-chan, what have you found?"

"I found a yukata, Sachi-sama. What do you think about this?"

"Lame!" Anko voiced her opinion, "Too tame, Kana-chan is too hot for this."

"Anko, your choice was red lingerie," Yugao commented.

"Kana-chan will buy it, you will see it, Kitty-chan! You will see."

"Mom, enough. I'll just take the first gown and be done with it."

"No, you can't!" All women shouted at Kaname.

"For gods' sake! I tried on a dozen of them already, give me a break!"

"I'm going to make sure your wedding party will be perfect, Little Butterfly."

"Come on! Utakata and I want only a small party with family and friends."

"Rejected!" Kaname's mother replied.

"Ugh... Do I have a say in planning My wedding?"

"Nope. You're our dress-up doll, so shut up and change into my lingerie, Kana-chan! I want to see it on y-y- Ouch! What the fu- Ouch! Stop hitting my head, Yu-chan!"

"I'm bonking out the pervertedness out of your head, Anko-chan. Did it work?"

"I'm going to bonk you so hard-"

"No fighting in the shop, girls." Sachi scolded them, "I need your help, find the best dress for my Little Butterfly!"

"Is it the best time for this, Flat Board?"

"Yeah, I should have killed that idiot a long time ago, Granny. He was so insignificant I totally forgot about him."

"But why now? Your wedding is tomorrow, Flat Board."

"How do you think Akatsuki and Orochimaru got alarmed off Jiji's trip to Suna?"

"Wait, you mean that worm was the one that tipped off Akatsuki? He is directly responsible for Sensei's death?"

"Not exactly, Granny. Orochimaru took that spot, Mizuki just spat in the face of a person that saved his miserable life."

"I see. ANBU!" Tsunade called for the masked shinobi, "Commence the operation. Bring him in alive, I need to blow off some steam on that soon-to-be poor soul."

"HAI!" an ANBU unit nodded and flickered away.

"Haah... That's not the only reason you came?"

"Nope, Granny." Kaname settled herself on the Hokage's office sofa, "I've got a problem, and maybe you can help me."

"You have many of them, Flat Board." Tsunade summed it up, "Why don't you talk with Utakata or Sachi-san?"

"Utakata is torn on the choice as well. It's not a topic I should talk about with my mother either."

"... I'll have a headache after this, right?"

"Yep."

"Ugh... Fuck this, give me your worst, Flat Board."

"I'm not sure how, but this Furido sealed Kyūbi's leftover chakra in a boy Naru-chan's age."

"Shit." Hokage facepalmed.

"Do you see my problem?"

"Does Akatsuki know of him yet?" Tsunade questioned.

"No, but it's only a question of time. His master has ties with Akatsuki."

"Let me guess, you want to end the threat, and Utakata disagrees?"

"We agree that there are many pros and cons. But, luckily, it's not our decision - it's yours."

"Ugh. So we're considering ending the life of a single boy to save our world?"

"Sora is an easy target for Akatsuki, Granny. I'm not sure how it works, but looking at Gaara-kun's example, they don't need all of the bijū's chakra."

"... What stayed your hand, Flat Board? You're rather decisive."

"Utakata and I were ready to end him, but to be perfectly honest? Sora-chan is only a victim. Naruto and Sora are both in the same situation. I asked myself could I do it if this was Naruto in front of me."

"But you would do it if I asked you to?"

"If you justified it? With a heavy heart, but yeah."

"For heaven's sake, Flat Board. Can't you ask me for wedding chef recommendations or something?! Why am I always bombarded with such heavy topics around you?"

"Despite your age, I respect your point of view, Granny. You're smart."

"I'll think about it - give me time."

"Sure."

--------

"What's going on, Furido-sensei? You look like a ghost. And the palace smells like-"

"It was her! She must have added laxative to everyone's supper yesterday."

"Oh, but why did you unmount the toilet room doors?"

"I underestimated Kaname Uchiha. It's her way of payback."

"Going behind country's hero didn't work out for you, Furido-sensei?"

"Remember who you are talking to, Sora!"

"Yes. I'm sorry, Furido-sama." Sora bowed his head.

"She must have noticed I wasn't on her side. I've got a job for you."

"I'm listening, Furido-sama."
