Prologue

In a time when gods and goddesses were allowed to walk among men there came a time of prosperity. But that era would not last long as greed began to shade the eyes of the gods.

To some it became a game, to pit the simple minded humans against each other then sit back and watch, as the bloody chaos would ensue. To others it was rewarding to help mankind figure out the working of the world, like parents helping toddlers walk for the first time.

These drastically different ideologies began to split mankind off into different clans, changing the world forever. As time progressed nine nations developed, soon fights and conflicts rose between them for resources. Raiding villages and cities became common and mankind began to heavily rely upon their paytron gods to help and guide them. Relations between the gods tensed with every passing day as a war loomed over their heads.

It only took a day for the small scrimmages to carve their lines in the sands of time. To divide the country into two as the streets of a small city ran with the blood of every man, woman, and child that occupied it.

Upon a heap of bodies stood a man, with a long crooked smile placed upon his face, gleaming down at his handiwork. He crouched down low then straightened as he gave out a low howl. With a crimson flash he disappeared into the night leaving the once jubilant city an empty cacophony of what it was.

Because of this single act gods started fighting alongside mankind to win the war, but the effects of heavenly beings fighting humans took its toll. Within a month the population of humans had been reduced in half and their fates were looking grim, if the war was to continue.

Seeing the devastating results of the war on mankind a group of gods banned together to seal all the gods back into their realm. If there ever came a day that a god could break through the seal and get back into the mortal realm they would allow demigods to be born so when the need arises they can protect mankind from the devistation that the gods already inflicted.

Little did they know that this back up plan could also be used as a loophole...
