She heard him confessing to his moonlight when she ran to tell him about reaching the nascent soul realm successfully so they can now get married just as he had promised. It turns out that if she loses her maiden head after starting her cultivation journey, she will lose all her power to whomever takes her virginity which is why he had waited until she reached a higher level. Hearing him describe how he loves the woman and not herself made Amelia go crazy with jealousy that she opened her meridians and released her cultivation on the spot. When her fiancé saw her after she wasn't covered by the talisman, he didn't know what to say. Seeing this, Amelia laughed hysterically and committed suicide by exploding her newly formed nascent soul in the middle of the two lovers hoping to die together. She woke up in the novel she had read a century ago as the miserable villainess who covet the male lead and frames the reborn female lead using various means unsuccessfully because the female lead is a reborn from the future and has long since had her guard up against her naïve looking sister.
