"You saying something down there little crafter?" She asked, strolling back over to me so that she could bend down to listen to me.
That wasn't enough for her though.
She grabbed me by my shirt and tugged me upward so that I was slumped into an almost sitting position.
Being yanked around like that after whatever it was she'd done to me was pure agony, but that pain helped bring me around just a little bit, enough to help me through what I needed to say.
"School… You… Failed, didn't you?" I answered her question with a question of my own. I couldn't see her face, but I felt her stiffen up slightly. I'd hit the nail on the head.
"Almost remember you… I think," I continued, "So smart… and yet, you couldn't even push through to the end… Fell right out, didn't you?"
I laughed at her. It was a hoarse hacking noise with a rattling sound coming from deep in my chest.
