14) Orc Swordsman

"Hey, stop going so fast. I can't catch up to you, you know?"

"Ugh, if it weren't for your powers I would never have taken you into my party."

"Neither I would have joined your party if I weren't unable to clear this damned dungeon."

"Says the stalker."

"For fuck's sake, stop calling me a stalker."

"You shouldn't have stalked me like that time I was jogging, unfortunately gotten drenched due to the rain etc."

"You wouldn't know the pain to not see such sights."

"I agree."

Both Lucy and Gi Wan gave a disgusted look to Rai.

"Ah dammit, stop giving me that look everytime I talk."

"No Rai it isn't your fault. It is just this bastard being into BL and furry lately."

"Stop creeping me out, you bitch."

Although they have been fooling around, they didn't slack off on clearing the dungeon. They just killed the last monster of the dungeon. Although killing all monsters is not a necessity, they did it because of the skill experience it would give them. However Gi Wan wasn't grinding for his skill experience.

"By the way, this seems to be quite effective."

Gi Wan acted as a supporter here. He used his authority over aura and mana to increase the quality and quantity of mana and aura Rai and Lucy could use.

"Guess we should kill the boss."

They swiftly infiltrated the boss room as the monsters spawned. Rai didn't waste any time and just killed the boss straight up.

「You have cleared the dungeon!」

「You have recieved 10 stat points!」

Unlike how he obtained all those drops back when he killed the goblin shaman for the first time, he didn't obtain anything other than the stat points this time. It seems that the best possible rewards will be given when you hunt a specimen for the first time.

"Hah, now we should go to the next dungeon."

The party moved into the portal and found themselves in yet another vast underground dungeon.

"Wow, the dungeon layout is boring as always."

"Yeah."

Gi Wan nodded and started to search his surrounding for any monsters.

"They are in that direction."

Both Gi Wan and Lucy nodded as they started to rush towards the direction Rai pointed to.

At the distance, they could see a goblin shaman holding a book as if it was the most natural thing to do.

"This time, I will also engage myself in direct combat. I am proeficient enough to give you both the buffs while fighting."

Gi Wan declared and killed the goblin shaman with a single stab.

'Increasing stats sure have clear effects.'

「STR :- 60 --> 70

DEX :- 55 --> 65

VIT :- 65 --> 75」

After feeling the effects of the stat Increasing Gi Wan understood what the stats does.

"STR stat increases your muscle density, which means it increases your physical resistance and raw strenght. DEX stat increases your joint functions and senses, means it increases your ability to dodge and do actions like thrusting, punching, etc. AGI stat increses your the functioning of your ankle joints, knee joints and you ball and socket joints which connect your hip to legs more than the DEX stat and also strengthens you legs more than the STR stat, means it will increase our movement speed and kicking power greatly. And finally the VIT stat increases the number of layers of muscles in your body and also the functioning of your internal organs, means it will increase your physical resistance, stamina and recovery rate."

"What about INT?"

"I can't increase my INT stat because I'm an apostle."

"So apostles have -99 iq."

"I'm our college's topper though?"

"Whatever."

"Let's split up for now."

Rai said that and left. He felt like everytime he said something, the other two would look at him weirdly and decided to only speak when needed.

"Hey Lucy."

"Yeah?"

"Here, take this."

Gi Wan gave Lucy the C-grade grimore he got from the goblin shaman.

"What the! Rai said these are valuable and rare, so why do you have this?"

"I will explain things to Rai later so dont worry. Open the page in which the spell is inscribed in and infuse your mana into the page. That will let you use that spell. Although it only has a fireball spell, I saw that you had a lot of mana and defensive abilities but lack in attack power. So this should make up for that."

"T-Thanks."

Lucy felt like Gi Wan made up his mind and accepted the grimore.

"Don't just infuse the mana and cast it. Try to use your mana to make the pattern in the grimore so you can cast spells for real."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Well then, I will leave."

"Yeaaaaah."

Gi Wan got pissed off as Lucy said that as if she was annoyed, but he managed to control his anger and leave.

Lucy could be seen at the distance fighting a goblin shaman.

"Ugh! It failed again!"

Lucy was trying to use her mana to form the spells in the grimore like Gi Wan said while using her basic and piercer puzzle pieces to attack the goblin shamans while the shield puzzle pieces protected her. The stick like pieces turned out to be the basic pieces, zigzag pieces turned out to be the piercer pieces and the rectangular pieces turned out to be the shield pieces. The infinity piece was floating above her head. The infinity piece has the ability to amplify mana quality, mana recovery and decrease mana usage. It has been several hours since Gi Wan and Rai left but she still couldn't kill atleast 10 goblins due to this. However, she is making steady progress on using the fireball magic without grimore.

"Agh! Not again!"

She didn't need to worry about her mana too much since basic pieces had the ability to absorb the mana in the air and the opponent's body and transfer it to her and the infinity piece also increaded her mana recovery and decreased her mana consumption.

HUFF!

A heavy breathing sound could be heard.

"Hmm? What's it?"

An orc twice the size of a normal orc could be seen holding a huge sword.

"H-Haha... Don't say me, this is the boss?"

"Of course not, it is a gaurdian of this dungeon, an orc swordsman!"

Gi Wan answered her question as he appeared from the behind of Lucy. The goblin shaman could be found dead behind him.

"And, why is it here?"

"I found it by chance when I was sweeping the dungeon and thaught it would be too much for me to go against alone and brought it here so I can team up with you."

"Don't fuck with me. You brought it here so you could use me as a tanker right?"

Gi Wan flinched. He didn't expected for her to catch on since she was stupid.

"How did you know?"

"My previous party members used me the same way."
