The Cave of the White Beast 3

Both the women looked at each other and looked back towards the three entrances that proudly stood before them as if they were mocking them that they couldn't find the correct one easily no matter what they did.

Violet's lips twitched as she neared Tanzi's ears and whispered, "Tanzi, why is your Mother Nature so free and invested all her effort for this beast? Shouldn't she be busy? Even if she isn't, can't she simply use all her time and create more beautiful flowers or something?"

Tanzi knocked her head and pushed her away from herself. She was even whispering as if she was speaking a great secret.

It is just that Violet was scared of the silence in the cave. Every single sound that they made would be resounded and echoed a few times.

What would she do if her words would resound and wake up the sleeping beast? Well if they were lucky enough that the beast was sleeping at this moment that is.

Tanzi took out another similar vial with the same powder filled in it and repeated the process that she had done the previous time.

Violet was surprised this time when she looked at this pink colored powder once again, "Wow Tanzi, how many of these did you bring? I thought they were already over and now we have no choice but to go back." Her voice sounded really regretful. After all, for a second she really hoped that Tanzi did not bring the little bottle so that they could turn around and go back safely.

Tanzi replied softly, "I felt we may need a few of them more than usual this time around and grabbed a bunch before starting the journey. Luckily they came to use."

They then saw that the powder was divided into two parts and a part flew in the left entrance while the other part went inside the right one.

Violet looked at Tanzi, "So, we are going to enter the center one?" She gulped down her own saliva with fear audibly.

She really wanted to follow the powder now so that she can go out of the cave safely.

Tanzi heard the minute sound that she made and understood her predicament, "Violet, this is the last chance you got. I am sure we are very near to the White Beast at this moment. So if you are scared you can leave now."

She tightened her fists and took a step forward towards the center entrance and looked backwards at Tanzi and raised an eyebrow as if asking, 'Why are you not coming yet?'

Tanzi understood the meaning behind her silence and her silent actions which were already under her expectations. She gave a smirk to herself in understanding and strode forwards.

As they strode forwards, the route turned narrower and narrower with every step they took. It looked like if they took a few more steps, they may be crushed under the cave instead of being able to go forwards.

Violet was scared looking at the route as it got even darker than it already was. Even their wands were unable to show them what was in front of them except for a couple of steps ahead of them.

She thus gripped Tanzi's sleeve as tightly as she could to compose her fear within.

When they thought that the cave would actually be closed, they continued taking the next step when they suddenly found that the area widened in an instant.

The place in front of them was no longer a narrow route but they had reached a wide area where one could run around for a few miles as they wished.

The wide area was still a part of the cave as there was a ceiling and there were no other exits except the one from which they just entered.

Yet, neither Tanzi nor Violet took another step forward. Their eyes widened at the view in front of them.

They were not shocked at the large area under a cave in a deep mountain. But instead they were shocked by the being that was residing in the cave.

As soon as they saw the beast, they understood why it was called the White Beast.

The beast that was in front of them was actually a white tiger. But it was not as simple as a tiger. Instead it was a giant tiger.

It was so big that its paws were enough to crush both of them at once in an instant.

Luckily for them, or because of Violet's previous wishes and her prayers, the beast in front of them was actually sleeping at this moment.

If it was awake, maybe it's deep breath would be enough to make the both women fly out of the cave.

Violet was frozen in her spot as she couldn't take another step forward nor a step backwards.
