Dahlia looked out of her window. Men and women were pacing back and forth, their footsteps laced with panic and worry. In the distance, after straining her eyes a little, she could see a battle waging on. It was an intense and brutal watch seeing a swarm of soldiers rising and falling in a matter of seconds. From where she stood, she could hear their screams and cries as loud as day - it was overwhelming.
Using the battle to her advantage, Dahlia decided there would be no better time to escape out of there. It had been a week since Draco gave her the keys but there wasn't a window of opportunity for her to leave... that is, until now.
She walked toward her mattress and pulled out the key from beneath it then without giving it a moment's thought, she unlocked the chains. It was the first time her feet tasted freedom in three months.
