Chapter 96 Sugery

John who had gotten closer to it saw a grenade on the walker's chest. John shouted, "Aiden, stop!" Aiden ignored him and shot again, hitting the grenade and causing an explosion. The explosion threw John into the shelf behind him, denting it slightly. John stood up and looked around checking if the others were okay.

He saw that Aaron and Eric were fine because they were standing a little further away. John looked over where Aiden and Nicholas were and saw that Aiden was impaled through the shoulder and abdomen. John saw Nicholas looking at Aiden. Nicholas said, "He's dead."

John turned around suddenly when he heard some walkers growling. It seems the fence holding back the walkers did not survive the explosion. John then jumped over a fallen box and arrived next to Aiden. Aaron and Eric also came over to Aiden and were inspecting him. Suddenly Aiden's eyes burst open, and he screamed in pain. Aiden begged, "Help! Please!"

The walkers heard Aiden's shout and screams and began to make their way towards them. Aaron said, "What do we do? Pull him off?"

John said, "Let's try it, Nicholas cover us." Nicholas moved in front of them and began to shoot at the walkers, but his aim sucked and soon the walkers were within 15 feet of them.

Nicholas got anxious seeing the walkers get so close. Nicholas shouted, "We have to go!" John and the others were still trying to pull Aiden off the steel bars that impaled him, though. But moving Aiden, caused him to scream in pain, making all the walkers flock towards them. Nicholas said, "We have to go now!"

Aiden said, "Nick. Nick, don't-- don't leave me."

As the walker got within 6 feet of them, Nick got squirrely. He said, "We left them, we both did. That's who we are. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Nick then began to run away.

Aiden, who was in shock, said to John, "It was us that caused the death of our friends. The others before, they didn't panic. We did. It was us." Seeing the walkers were within 4 feet of them, John pulled out his katana and decided to cut the bars holding Aiden in place. They could take the bars out later when they arrived at Alexandria.

John said to Aaron and Eric, "Step back!" John then swung his blade hard, cutting through the steel bars. John then grabbed Aiden under his arm, Aaron moved to the other side, and they began to walk towards the exit, John swung his blade at any walkers that tried to block them from the front. Meanwhile, Eric covered their back, they managed to make it to the door and outside.

John left Aiden and held the door shut as Eric helped Aaron carry Aiden to the van. When John saw that Aiden and the others were in the van before he bolted over and got in. Nicholas started to drive away, heading back to Alexandria. John made him stop on the side of the road, John then dragged Nicholas out of the van and beat the shit out of him.

When he was finished, Nicholas's face was unrecognizable, and blood was gushing out of his face. His eyes were swollen shut and his jaw was definitely broken. John then threw him into the passenger seat, John hopped into the driver seat and began to speed towards Alexandria. John had to use his Map because he had no idea how to get back.

They arrived at Alexandria about 35 minutes later, John honked the horn, and the gate keeper opened the gate. John didn't stop at the gate but drove quickly to Deanna's house, John honked the horn, Deanna and Reg came running out. John hopped out of the car, Aaron and Eric did the same.

John shouted, "Eric, run and get Pete." Eric immediately started sprinting to Pete's house. John then ran to the back of the van and Aaron helped him to carry Aiden out. Deanna was shocked to see her son in this condition, but she opened the door hurriedly and Reg cleared off the dining table for John.

John and Aaron lay Aiden down on the table and John immediately began to look at the wounds more closely. Deanna was panicking, she asked, "Is he going to die?"

John shook his head and said, "He shouldn't the bars passed through non-life-threatening areas. However, these bars could have tons of bacteria on them. We need to start him on an antibiotic IV as soon as we can."

Aiden was wailing in pain and moving around. John said, "We need to hold him down, moving will make the damage even worse." John then began to press hard on the wounds and Deanna helped him. A couple minutes later Pete burst through the door with Eric following behind.

John said, "Eric, go get some painkillers, antibiotics, saline filled IV bags and some other supplies. Take the van and get back here as quickly as you can." Pete observed the wounds.

The Pete said, "We need to start soon, or he will bleed out." Reg came running over with a first aid kit. Both John and Pete dug through the kit finding what they needed.

John said, "You take the abdomen wound as that is more serious, I can handle the shoulder wound." Pete nodded and he started to operate on the stomach wound. John pulled the bar out of Aiden's shoulder, then he packed the wound with gauze.

Once John was able to see the blood vessels that and been severed. He was able to quickly start to suture the wound closed. When john finished with the veins and blood vessel, he sutured the muscle and skin closed. John then spread a bandage over the wound and looked at Aiden's complexion. John said, "He needs blood, or he will die. Are either of you the same blood type as him."

Reg nodded and came forwards; John quickly started a transfusion from Reg to Aiden. Right when he finished, Eric burst through the door holding a bag. John grabbed the bag from him as he collapsed onto the floor. John took out the IV bag, he put the needle into Aiden's other arm, then he squeezed the bag. Sending much needed fluids into Aidens body. John then inserted liquid antibiotics and morphine into the IV drip.

When John finished with that, he helped Pete with the other wound. Working together they quickly fixed the other wound as well. With that, John stopped the transfusion between Reg and Aiden, John put a piece of gauze as he removed the needle, he then had him hold it there. Deanna seeing that the process was done hugged John tightly, thanking him.

She hugged him for a while before she let go and thanked Pete as well. Pete was about to leave, but John stopped him. John said, "There is another wounded, I'll go get him." Pete nodded and John walked out of the house and to the van. He opened the passenger side door and grabbed Nicholas back towards the house.

John opened the door with his left hand as he pulled Nicholas by the back of his shirt. John then dragged him over and set him on the table, next to Aiden. Deanna and Reg were shocked when they saw the deformed face of Nicholas. Pete immediately began to try and fix the damage that had been done to him.

Deanna, who had come out of her shock asked, "What the hell happened out there?"

John said, "That's a long story."

Deanna said, "We have time. Now spill."

John said, "We made it to the warehouse and checked the perimeter before we went inside. The place was clear except for about 20 walkers that were behind a locked fence in the back of the warehouse. Anyway, after we found the parts, we needed a walker wearing military gear went towards Aiden and Nicholas. Aiden kept trying to shoot it and he didn't see the grenade on the walker's vest. I noticed it, but by the time I warned Aiden, it was too late. The grenade went off and knocked all of us off our feet. Aiden was unfortunate to get thrown onto those steel bars. The explosion caused the fence holding back the walkers to break apart. As the walkers moved towards us, I had Nicholas cover us as we tried to pull Aiden off the bars. When the walker got too close, Nicholas ran off leaving us defenseless. Then I decided to forget about pulling him off the bars and cut them with my sword. I swung as hard as I could and was able to cut through the bars. I succeeded in cutting them and we carried Aiden out, while Eric covered our backs. When we got outside the van was still out there. So, I held the door shut and Aaron and Eric carried Aiden to the van. Then I bolted to the van as well and hopped in. When we were a safe distance away, I had Nicholas stop the van and I dragged him out of the van. Then I beat the shit out of him before I drove back."

Deanna said, "Wow! I can't believe Nicholas would leave Aiden behind." Deanna then though for a while before she decided to just forget about it for now. John cleaned off his hands in the sink before he left, John went to the van and grabbed all the guns they took with them before he walked to the armory. Walking into the house, John was hugged tightly by a soft body, John smiled as he leaned down and kissed Demmy's lips gently.

John broke the kiss and hugged her for a while, rubbing her petite back. John then walked with her to the armory and put all the guns back. When he was putting the guns back, Demmy saw that his hands were stained with blood, John couldn't completely wash the blood off as it had been on his hands for a considerable amount of time.

When John finished, Demmy said, "Want to have lunch with me?"

John kissed her and said, "Why wouldn't I?" John then pinched her ass, causing her to slap his chest gently.

Demmy said to Olivia as they walked out of the house, "I'm going to lunch with John, see you later." John and Demmy then walked to his house and went inside. They walked into the kitchen and started to prepare some chicken breasts and veggies. They wrapped them up before they grabbed a bag of BBQ chips. Then they walked out of the house and walked to the gazebo.

They sat down on the bench and began to eat their food slowly, chatting about what happened while John was out looking for the part to fix the power grid. They finished eating and John followed her back to the supply house. When they got there, John sat down on a chair as Demmy went back to working.

John then sat around playing a game as he waited for Demmy to finished working. John got bored of his game after about 2 hours. John left the house and walked over to where some people were fixing the power grid. John walked over and began to help them install the new parts and in no time the power grid was fixed.

John then walked back to the supply house and walked in. He sat on the couch and looked at his watch. It was 5:30 in the evening, and Demmy came walking over to him. She said, "My shift is over, and we are locking up for the night. Ready to go home?"

John smiled and stood up, then he grabbed her soft hand and walked with her. They left the house and Olivia locked the door behind them. Then they walked down the street and went to Demmy's house. They walked up into Demmy's bedroom, and she packed her things into multiple bags before they walked out of the house. It was official, Demmy was moving into John's house.

They walked to John's house and entered. they walked up the stairs together. They walked into John's bedroom and started to unpack Demmy's clothes. When they finished, they walked back downstairs and entered the kitchen. John and Demmy then began to make chicken tacos together. When it was finished, they walked into the dining room and sat down. Then they began to eat their fill.

John and Demmy ate together, having a good conversation and joked with each other. When they finished, they walked into the living room and curled up on the leather chair. They watched a movie together, then they walked upstairs and entered their room. They took off their clothes slowly and lay on the bed together, sweet moans echoing in the room.

When Demmy was asleep John left the room quietly and went down the stairs. John then left the house, walking to the front gate where the vehicles were kept John got in a truck. John then droves over to Demmy's house and started taking everything she might want, John filled the truck and all the extra stuff, he shoved into Eden.

When all of her stuff was packed, John walked out of the house and got into the truck. John then drove to his house, he drove with the lights off to avoid drawing attention. When John reached home, he started moving all of Demmy's stuff into the living room. They would go through all of it tomorrow and set it anywhere Demmy wanted.

When he finished, John walked upstairs quietly. He stripped his clothes and threw them into a basket before he climbed into bed and held Demmy.
