The saintess Lilliana.

A common girl graced with the blessing of the gods during the difficult times of war. It was through her kindness that the common people found hope.

As the legend goes after the battle between the demon lord and herself. The saintness vanshied after sealing the demon king away into a dark sleep. Stories of her kindness and gift carried through the centuries until the prophecy of her return came to be.

Yet as the years grew on the story of such battle became less clear. No one would ever know the truth of that battle. The twisted words of glory and tragedy born from the mouths of the high priests of the holy temple.

From those words of her sacrifice they hid the truth of her demise.

A sacrifice for the future of the church.

If she truly were the blessed child of their god they were simply returning her to his side.

One life for the survival of the empire.

Surely their god would understand. Not wanting to watch his blessed suffer in the mortal world.

She would remain immortalized.

Her soul remaining pure.

As her blood sank deep into the earth of the surrounding battle field cheers of victory echoed. A lone tear streaming down her face as hands touched her mangled body. A holy sword piercing straight through her frail body. Ripping apart the once pure flower.

How could they allow her demise under the weapon of the enemy. As those hands touched her in her final moment her heart shattered praying for forgiveness. She must have done something wrong for this punishment.

In her last breath the cheers of her so called victory echoed in her ears.

The saintness had saved them all.
