The Master of DNA
An excerpt from chapter 3
Suddenly time stopped. The world around me was frozen in place, and I found I could not move.
A small white light the size of a softball appeared in front of me.
The light spoke.
"Hello, my full name would take 12 days to pronounce, so you may know me as Po. I am an all-powerful being, sometimes referred to as death or the grim reaper on your planet. You have been given a rare opportunity! I have allowed you to participate in the most glorious of games. Much to my disappointment, you have survived the first fifteen minutes so I am obligated to explain the rules. You are in a new world, in a new body. This place is my masterpiece, a maelstrom of chaos. The creatures kill each other to get stronger and evolve. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The creatures of this world were made of dust and to dust they return when they die. This soul dust contains the DNA of that creature. You are unique in that you may change your form as often as you wish. You must simply think about the Evolution Editor and the game will pause and freeze time during the editing process.
Playing this game is not without benefits for you, or consequences. This is a survival game. When you die you will instantly be transported back to the moment that you had a seizure and died. You will be returned to life, with full vitality, but only until your time runs out. If you survive a day here you will live a day there. A year here, a year there. Time spent in the evolution editor does not count towards survival time. How much do you love your family? My opponent believes in this love, and for that reason has chosen you. I think you will fail, but we will see.
I'm sure there was other stuff I was supposed to tell you but you'll figure it out. I hope you die soon! "
//Authors note// So many books have so much just dumb content. I wanna see cool stuff happen in every chapter and that's what this book will be.
I aim for 3 chapters a week, looking for a good illustrator for cover art.
