On another side of the city, Doma suddenly materialized himself into existence in a remote and deserted area, his previous humble and normal appearance was warped into a freaked abomination, an entire 1/4th of his face had exploded from the inside, his cranium and inner flesh being exposed to the outside world with waterfalls of blood flowing through the wound, almost half of his brain was turned into a mess and mush of neurons, his once white hair covered into a scarlet red

But the most striking part about Doma's new appearance was undoubtedly the machine fused with all the gore on his head, though small the red glowing could easily be perceivable, it emanated reality-warping AP-X Energy, highly radioactive too

In this state Doma could barely think, his consciousness fusing with the power of the machine, giving life to something brand new, his body being in the complete mess that it was now could not function properly, like a bugged-out animation of his body did not move, not even a fraction of an inch, he did not breath nor he puffed, his muscles did not twitch nor contacted, his hair did not feel the effects of the breeze, Doma was dead and giving birth to something else that wasn't Doma nor the machine, but something else entirely

"Boss! We found him! He's over two kilometers from the north!"

In a helicopter in the skies, an army with the President's soldiers roamed the area

"Alert the President! Give him our coordinates!"

It took a few minutes for the president to reach the location, once there the sight of what was in front of him left him speechless

"Details?"

"There's a 20 meters radius area around him that warps everything that comes near, the area is currently being evacuated, and he hasn't moved nor responded, we're waiting for permission to engage attacks, sir!"

"I'm gonna have to see, I brung a special device that creates a special EMP that will shut off the device, I just need to get closer, how far is the evacuation going?"

"Around 20%, sir"

"*Sigh*... This won't be easy"

Around Doma, an unearthly field that warped the very fabric of space and time threatened all, it seemed to be slowly expanding throughout all directions

"Doma! Doma can you hear me!?"

No response, not even a single faint sound

"Is he dead? He doesn't seem to hear me..."

"What if the field is not letting sound in?"

"Or he's just ignoring me..." The President approached one of the soldiers and "Shoot his leg"

The soldier took a shot, it pierced his leg and caused blood to spill, as one shot would normally do

"... He didn't even flinch... Is he dead?"

Suddenly, the bullet hole started to violently spill blood, and inside of it the bullet genetically wriggle until it finally came out, the wound seemed to move around as if it was trying to do something

"What... Is happening?"

"It's understanding the wound..." a scientist said

"What? Understanding the wound!? What is that supposed to mean!?"

"It's the AP-X Energy sir, as the machine is solely powered by it, it's starting to use it and copying its properties... To say the machine is AP-X Energy constructed into a physical form would be an understatement..."

"Speak my language already! What the hell is it doing!?"

"Sir... I think the machine is trying to adapt to the shot..."

"A-Adapt?"

The wound then started to close, creating more flesh and bones where the absence of it once was

"It's healing!?"

"It's adapting to being hurt by healing! Not only that... Look! The skim got harder! Bullets won't be able to penetrate it now! That's what I'm talking about! The machine is taking AP-X Energy's properties and starting to adapt! It probably won't end in bullets too, I don't think we can do much now, sir"

"Nonsense! Everyone! Open fire!"

The 15 soldiers took their shots, with the futuristic technology of these years, bullets could easily be shot at a fraction of the speed of light, making not only the bullets immensity fast but immensity string as well, yet despite the many onslaught of shots, none of them even made of much of a dent in Doma's skin, he had truly become anti-bullet

"Dammit! Well, what about this then!"

The president activated his device, the EMP was created and it hit the machine, turning it off, however after a few seconds, it turned on again and became immune to the EMPs

"Dammit! Dammit dammit dammit dammit! What do we do!?"

"President! We need to run! The field is expanding! It's going to reach us soon!"

"No! No way I'm backing up now! I waited years for this moment! I'm not ceasing the machine! The AP-X could be destroyed right now and I-"

Then it clicked, the AP-X, the same meteor that could give energy could also take it away, all he need to do is take Doma to him

"Hey, you! Approach him and take the machine!"

"What!? Sir are you crazy!? We can't let someone approach the field!"

"I'm the president! My word holds the uttermost priority! When I say to go you go! Now do it!" the President said as he pushed the soldier inside the barrier

The Solder proceeded to be utterly warped beyond repair by said field, his body melted and aged at incredibly fast rates to a point he turned into ash, this seemed to feed the field as it got plenty of times bigger

"That's it! Everyone! We need to make the field bigger! If we can make so it reaches the AP-X we can stop this madness! Now everyone! Charge!"

The soldiers hesitated for a bit, but then all ran towards the barrier, in their mind this was a noble sacrifice, but to The President they were all cannon fodder, steps for him to bypass the wall that stood in front of him for he to achieve greatness and ultimate power, unfortunately, as the field grew and finally reached the AP-X, there wouldn't be a single person to experience his great power, not even the President himself
