The Adventurers Guild hall quickly became chaotic after several people were suddenly injured. The injured adventurers' companions rushed to help them and get medical attention. Fear filled the hearts of all adventurers present, as they knew exactly where the attack had come from. The invisible nature of the attack left them feeling uneasy, so they fled the guild hall as quickly as they could.
Without paying any further attention to the commotion caused by the panicked adventurers, Eriri and Arifureta went straight to the counter.
The receptionist appeared to be around Eriri's age, about fifteen or sixteen, and looked quite cute. She seemed like a lively girl, but she was now so nervous that her expression had frozen.
Noticing her nervousness, Eriri smiled gently at her and said, "Don't be nervous, we won't do anything to you."
Indeed, beauty has its own charm. Eriri's smile instantly bewitched the receptionist, leaving her dazed and unable to feel nervous anymore.
Seeing the receptionist's stunned look, Arifureta was speechless for a moment and pouted. "Eriri, stop charming the poor girl."
"Uh... I'm not," Eriri said innocently, turning to Arifureta and shaking her head. "Well... it's not my fault that I'm so beautiful. There's nothing I can do about it."
"Pfft... fine, fine, I know you're the most beautiful," Arifureta said, smiling at Eriri's self-admiration.
The receptionist snapped out of her daze, her face flushing with embarrassment, and quickly apologized. "I'm so sorry!"
Waving it off, Eriri said casually, "It's okay, you didn't do anything wrong."
"Is there anything I can help you with, my ladies? May I see your status plates?" Though still a bit flustered, the receptionist managed to regain her professional demeanor.
"Status plates? We don't have those."
"Ah..." The receptionist was taken aback by Eriri's response.
In human kingdoms, status plates serve as the most credible form of identification, showing a person's job and status values. Everyone must have one to move freely in human territories.
Now she was curious about how Eriri and Arifureta had entered Horaud without them.
Seeing the look on the receptionist's face, Eriri knew what she was thinking and said indifferently, "You don't need to worry about that. We'll be leaving this world in a few days, so we don't need them."
"???" The receptionist decided against pressing the matter, though her curiosity only grew. "Leaving this world? Could these ladies be from another world like the heroes? But I haven't heard about them going back in a few days..."
Eriri tapped the counter and said, "As for why we're here... we're here to eat! Bring us all the delicious food you have."
Surprised by Eriri's unexpected request, the receptionist replied blankly, "Oh... sure..."
"Here's the payment, keep the change," Eriri said confidently, pulling out ten gold coins from her storage space and placing them on the counter before turning to head upstairs.
"Um..." As Eriri and Arifureta took a couple of steps forward, the receptionist hesitantly spoke up.
Turning back, Eriri asked with some confusion, "Is there something else?"
The receptionist glanced nervously at Eriri, stammering, "Well... that might not be enough for the meal..."
"Uh..."
"Hahahahaha..." Hearing the receptionist's comment, Arifureta burst into laughter, unrestrained.
Eriri rarely felt embarrassed, but she quickly made up the difference, covering Arifureta's mouth and holding her close before instantly appearing at a rectangular dining table upstairs.
"That'll teach you to laugh..."
Sitting in a chair, Eriri placed Arifureta across her lap and began tickling her.
Arifureta squirmed in Eriri's embrace, gasping for breath. "Hahaha... I'll never... hahaha... dare again... hahaha..."
"Alright, alright, I never knew vampires were ticklish..." Eriri said, exasperated at Arifureta's exaggerated reaction. "And... I already stopped tickling you, so stop pretending."
Hearing Eriri's words, Arifureta immediately stopped struggling and hugged her waist tightly. "I was just going along with it."
Eriri didn't say anything further, but the curve of her smile revealed her good mood.
...
The Adventurers Guild was unusually quiet, with only the soft sounds of Eriri and Arifureta's conversation echoing. It was a stark contrast to the usual noisy environment.
Due to the earlier commotion, all the adventurers in the guild had fled, and no new adventurers had entered in over ten minutes. Even the guild's branch leader showed no interest in investigating the cause.
Over time, several waitresses brought a steady stream of dishes to the table. The large rectangular table, which could seat eight, soon ran out of room, so several more tables were joined to accommodate all the food.
Seeing the dozens of different dishes before them, Eriri and Arifureta's eyes gleamed with excitement.
"Kashiwagi Eri: Time to eat, time to eat! The feast is ready! Photo.jpg"
"Flower Hashira: Wow, that looks so delicious! It's making me hungry."
"Arifureta (Group Leader): Hehe, I haven't eaten in so long, I'm going to have a feast today! Drooling emoji.jpg"
"Arche Eeb Rile Furt: ...can you two really finish all that?"
"Kashiwagi Eri: Hmph, Arshe, you underestimate the appetite of food lovers. Proud emoji.jpg"
"Flower Hashira: Ooh... Eriri looks so cute with that proud face!"
"Kashiwagi Eri: Of course. Smug emoji.jpg"
"Arifureta (Group Leader): Hey, hey, where did you get so many selfies?"
"Kashiwagi Eri: Do you think I'd tell you I often posed in front of the mirror to make different emoji faces? Disdain emoji.jpg"
